i have 120x5 and 350 watt sub, the sub weighs roughly 250 lbs.. :] it's all about how sensitive the speakers are not about how many watts you have running. The setup sounds great for movies though... the whole house rumbles more than i thought it could. I hit 16hz without a problem...
I do actually.... it used to be on the desk itself sense center and surrounds should be at ear level if at all possible.... but now i have two options.... on the floor (where it's at now) or mount it above the 37" which might take some work....... my receiver has auto eq so i just plug in the...

actually the morning I finally got to test my sub out my neighbor called my cell phone and left a msg telling me she didn't appreciate me playing it so loud that her house was shaking. hahahaha I usually play it loud...
hahahaha that is my FINISHED but still UNFINISHED 15" subwoofer... it works perfectly.... but as you can see it's not black yet... I still have to flush mount it and get the black vinyl layover.. anyway... the sub is 200lbs and cost about 400 in parts.... something to compare to it would...

for movies i don't want a light there..... it's just for web surfing the 37" is soooo brite that it hurts my eyes after a while.... that's the only reason i'd want the light there..... would that light help out?
So i've noticed a lot of people use a lamp to hover over their LCD monitor.... does that make it easier on the eyes at night or something? i have this 37" i love but browsing at night is rough.....and i don't want to fill up my room with FULL lighting.... any ideas or links to a good light...
that's all i do is game! and watch movies.... ;] don't see why it's not cool for gaming? i'm not looking UP at it... and i'm not too close to it either. It makes me play counter strike til 4 a.m. when i have to be at work at 8. haha i was thinking it might be too high but it really isn't...
Well I built the desk today.... went to ikea which was about 5 mins from my house, Got a nice little bonus finding out my co worker knows a guy that works in the 'as is' department of ikea that was willing to take this desk and accessories to the department, open them up and mark the 'as is'...

Ok here's my idea... i'm going to get this setup.... the only thing is I don't know if i'm going to like the height of the rear shelf either as I have a 37" lcd.... so i was considering getting 4 of these that cost 10 bux for 4...
What does everyone think of me having my 37" olevia 62 lb monitor on the shelf this guy has?? Think it would be sturdy enough? I will have it up against a wall as well.... or do you think i need to get 4 of the legs instead of only two?? Thanks guys..

I'm using the olevia 237v 37" it's only 720p but it will do for now. I really like it for now... Maybe i'll sell it to one of my buddies soon and get a westy 37" but this is actually doing fine for me now. I was thinking about mounting it on the wall...... but i want to be able to run...
