Hi folks.
The case isn't anything amazing, a Centurion 5, and I think it could use some extra fans.
As it stands now, there is one 80mm intake located behind the HD drives, the PSU exhaust and a 120 exhaust behind the CPU heatsink. Now, the CPU heatsink I have installed is blowing air...
Alright, thanks for confirming my suspicions you two.
I've been contemplating dropping some cash on a new card lately anyways, so I guess this is just the final push.
5850, here I come...
Hey folks.
Built a computer a couple years ago and we are just now having our first tiff. Not bad, I suppose... Vista 64, Q6600, 8800GT
Went to boot up Firefox this afternoon and my system just totally crashed. This is not normal. Hard reset.
On boot, the screen is littered with...
So you put on an aftermarket fan/heatsink on your 8800GT and didn't toss anything on those other things? Is your card running cool, no problems?
I appreciate it :)
Ok folks.
This Zalman came with 8 heatsinks. The 8800GT has thermal paste applied to the 8 spots around the GPU, and then a few off to the side. I have no heatsinks for those few.
Suggestions?
Gah! I was moving my tower to plug a microphone in and the audio cable got yanked out of its port. Ever since, I've been getting zero sound out of my computer. The speakers work fine, so I'm guessing it's that one audio port on my motherboard.
Any ideas? It's an Asus P5K, if that helps...
That's right. If you were to head on over to the Dell website, you'd notice that they don't just carry Dell products anymore. They have NEC, Samsung, Viewsonic, etc...
By the way, that NEC he mentioned is $600 ;)
You're forgetting that everyone on these forums needs at least two 24" widescreen LCD monitors :D
Honestly, I find 20" widescreen to be the perfect size.
Well that's good to hear.
I'm surprised the monitor doesn't just add a couple black bars to the sides of the screen when running in 4:3. It's quite annoying that it stretches it...
Lately I've been growing tired of my laptop and I have decided that I want to build a desktop. I have most of that researched and squared away, but I'm not entirely sure about what monitor to buy.
Anything will be an improvement over my old desktop's 17" flat-screen CRT, but I plan on...
Dang.
I was thinking of ordering one of these for my new desktop, but it's looking like a lot of people are having problems with them!
Anybody care to make a suggestion for another 20-20.1" widescreen LCD monitor?
