Well the G500 is supposedly going to be released in September; you might want to wait for that. (Source)
You couldn't go wrong with a G5 though, my brother has one and loves it.
Well if you have a HTPC, you pretty much have to go with a wireless keyboard. I really like mine, but if you can do without it don't even think about it and go for a wired keyboard. Wireless keyboards are just too expensive.
If cost is no object go for a wireless keyboard if you really want...
i7 motherboards are pretty expensive. If you want something cheaper though, go with the P6TSE.
$207 - Asus P6TSE
It's the same as the P6T but without some special features that most people don't use like SLI. It also has 2 less SATA ports, and is missing a cmos reset button on the board.
$1000 is a lot of dough, especially since you already have some of the expensive parts already. If you want to spend that much though, here is some suggestions. Also, if you don't care for hardcore gaming, just get a weaker GPU than suggested and save the money.
$200 - i7 920 (Microcenter)
$100...
As for the keyboard, here is a quote from the newegg reviews:
"Adds nothing significant that the Eclipse II didn't have, other than a more expensive look (and price). A step back in a couple places, like the side buttons and the touch sensitive buttons. Having owned all 3 iterations of the...
I'm not sure if you care about the pennies, but you can save some dough by getting some of the components from amazon.
Save $6.42
Asus P6T Board
Save $2.50
XFX HD-4890
Amazon also carries the OEM 1TB Caviar Black. ...while I never had a problem with newegg's shipping, it seems like a lot of...
The COGAGE True Spirit seems pretty impressive. This might replace the V8 in the current build spreadsheet. (http://www.hardocp.com/article/2009/07/23/intel_core_i7_heatsink_roundup_q309/6)
Looking for a place to get it right now.
Edit: We're going with the Cogage True Spirit. (CrazyPC)
Ok, so given that I want to clock to 3.8Ghz, does my current build revision look good? Do you think I am shooting too low? I'm open to upgrading components for a better overclock, but would like to keep my MOBO + HSF + Memory less than $415.
Right now those components are totaling $362.

Here is the current build specs. (All prices are from newegg, amazon, microcenter, or monoprice)

Items marked "Subject to change" are being researched right now and any feedback would be appreciated on these items as well as on the full list.
As for the motherboard I'm not...
I remember using Google Desktop years ago; completely forgot about it. Vista and Windows 7 have great search indexing already so there is hardly any benefit anymore. However, I do recall being able to login to my computer with GD remotely and do searches and downloads. That was a cool feature, I...
Does it matter if I get the SE board if I want to overclock? Another user said that the SE is missing some OCing features. I just want to know if it is a non-issue.

Alright, we are committed to overclocking now.
Right now I am looking at this RAM:
OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Now the hunt begins for a heatsink/fan.
I'd also appreciate some feedback on some HSFs that you all have used with the i7 personally with great results.
I'm now thinking about overclocking the CPU. If I get this RAM how well can I fair?
Also, how is the stock heatsink/fan for overclocking?
Current Build Draft:
CPU: i7 920 (Micro Center)
Motherboard: Asus P6TSE Core i7
Memory (RAM): OCZ 1333 MHz 6GB Gold
