I'd love to but...$700 is a bit too much for an hard drive. I'd much rather use half of that and buy a small one right now, and use the remaining half on something quicker and bigger 3 years later. that's both the pros and cons about fast technology advancement.

HD5999 is actually doable, just do GTX 295 style of 2 cards. their GPU don't get too hot nor draw too much power, so quad-core should be possible. cuz I really wish it's real.

4870 1GB Crysis does not scale well/at all with multi-GPUs (including 4850x2) so if you want it because you want to play Crysis (or Warhead) at good quality, you would get a single 4850 performance. That took my money away from x2, because any of these cards will handle most other games...
