A good review but in a way I feel I'm used better from you guy's. But then, keeping up making the best reviews on the net can be hard and you need al the materials lying around.
So a question. In the review the mobo is compared to others. But doesn't this give a wrong picture because with...
Hmm,
First let me tell you that you guy's did again a great review.
But: yes, there is always a but, ;)
Handling Quad-Core cpu's
Myself, I have the Striker Extreme. For the moment everything is running very stable. So I can't complain. But I'm looking to OC this thing one day, when...
Just a question because we are talking about the 680i.
How about OC'ing the quad core and the FSB? At first I heard that OC'ing the quad with the 680i caused issues. Now EVGA had a fix for them, but does the Striker have the same problem? Or the other 680i boards?
Also I've read somewhere...
How is the support with Gigabyte, Abit? Any experience? Do they have a good forum like evga?
I have Asus now and that sucks... I never buy anything from them again. Even if it is the best...
DFI? Aren't those mobo's the ones with those extreme bios?
And the Abit Quad GT. It...
Hmm, the number one question these days and a friend asked me the same question.
What motherboard should he buy for an Intel E6600 core 2 duo processor.
He wants maximum performance, off course ;)
Good bios and OC'ing
Rock stable
Good support (so no Asus mobo)
And he is not going to...
I've been thinking about one at the back and one in the top. But I don't know if I will have enough room in the top. Cabling of the psu, dvd, floppy and the case itself run through there. There is a place foreseen for a fan, but fan + rad? Putting one in the front reduces my upgrading options a...
Damn, he did a good job threre, that's for sure...
But that's a lot of work... To much for my sake. I've also been looking at the bottom of the case, but I'm afraid my SLI cards are gonne be to close, or I should also flip it around...
Hmm, thinking, thinking,... ...
:( hmmm :(
I've surfed the net for pictures to see a 2x120mm rad inside a stacker 830. No luck! :(
Any idea's are welkom, or when you should see somewhere somebody who pulled it off, let me know.
Thanx already for the other tips. That FuZion block looks indeed very good... Also that...
Temps with the Tunic Tower: Thermal Compound is AS5
PC Probe II at Idle (typing this message and playing Joss Stone)
CPU = 31°C
MB = 32°C (practically case temp)
Room temp is about 24°C (In summertime it go's up to 30°C)
Core temp: Max core = 49°C idle
Under Load: Core temp = 72°C and...
Hmm, I know, that's why I still have a big doubt of going this way.
I'm also have been thinking about the Coolit Freezone, but I learned that wont do it either for the quad-core. The thing is that my rig is a lot in transport so all has to go inside the case. Not a single thing can...
I'm wondering which is the best:
The Danger Den Copper TDX 775 or the Swiftech Apogee GTX?
I'll be using only a 1x120mm rad so I will need best performance from the other parts. I'm only gonna cool my Intel Quad Core with the loop. The idea is to OC it to 3.2GHz...
So which one is the...
I have kind of the same question:
I think you'll be ok with that big radiator. I'm only gonna go for 1x120mm rad for the Intel QX6700.
Here is a reply from DD that I've got:

Hi Kibosh...
I'm saving to buy the psu PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W Quad. It comes in may with PCIe 6+2pin connectors for the new graphic cards, and the OCZ I have now makes a humming sound which bugs me, because all the rest is relative quite.
Also I'm looking for better cooling, maybe watercooling...
I'm wondering what max FSB speeds now can be achieved with the 680i chipset when using the Intel Quad Core Extreme CPU. I'm running the Asus Striker Extreme but I didn't see yet anyone with a high overclock on that one. I've noticed that EVGA has done a RMA on all their 680i mobo's for the...
What do you mean? When I ask they change it already for me?
Anyway, I've already emailed them on how to get in into Belgium. Also to ask a date of the updated 750W Silencer with those 6+2 pin. But if I can order it right away, the Visa card will come out and play :D
Hmm, so PC Power & Cooling will be it then... Just need to be patience untill May, would be stupid to change it just before one comes with 6+2pin PCIe.
Thx, for the replies
The OCZ makes a buzzing sound. I guess that is why the Silencer's fan has more space. I tested it with blocking another fan with my fingers  , which resulted in the same kind of buzzing sound from the OCZ. So maybe not quiter, but at least without that annoying buzzing.
Now overal. Is...
Hey,
Now I have the OCZ 850W psu. At this time it's doing the job. But I find it very noisy.
While in my search for a good psu for my rig, I came across the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W Quad . This one is complete SLI 8800GTX certified and has also a 8-pin 12V for the cpu. So perfect in...
Well, I've just got myself the Tuniq Tower 120
Below the results. I hope things are now normal with my temps:
While running OCCT
While running Prime: Notice the difference..
And last while another post:
Ah, ik maak wat fouten in het engels en ze hebben kommentaar. Wat grappig...
Is that better for you Guru
Ok, then, so the Coolit doesn't draw to much amps. Why did that corsair guy then said that it will run 8800GTX in SLI, when you don't have many other things on it. What are...
Also when adding later on a thing like the Coolit Freezone (waiting for the quad-core version), and some more HDD's? It will be close... And also, I guess when you have some spare left, the psu will run cooler, which results in more quiter.
I thought they couldn't do that because of that...
Damn damn damn. I don't like my OCZ 850W, it's to noisy and also not real SLI 8800GTX certified. I think for my rig that the Corsair just won't or just will do. But I don't like the just. I want some safe spare left. This mobo is trouble enough to hold stable.
Does anyone know (Corsair rep...
You probably know all of this already but here some tips to get it more stable.
Disable Linkboost and GPU ex. These are two useless options.
and Increase a little CPU VTT. I have it to 1.35V
When running 8800 in SLI, also increase a little the 1.2VHT.
So the geminII is a bit to big then...
Use the bios and this forum. People here will help you out very good. I know because two months ago I knew nothing about DIY pc's. Now I know a damn lot more. Herefore I also have to thank Asus for making a buggy mobo and giving zero support with it. I have it now 100% stable doing manual...
Damn, a 6600 cpu. Was hoping for a quad so I could compare ;)
Did you try stressing it already with Prime95 (small FFT's) ? When you do, pls monitor temps with Core-Temp. The actual core temperatures at real 100% load, is what we are interessed in. It's the most used so also the easiest to...
Can you also tell us then what system you are running. (You can add this in your signature like many do), also what software you are using for measurement. Also of course we are more interested in full load temperatures. You can use Prime95 with the small FFT test for this.
Thank you
 :D :D I wanted to check, but then I needed to go to far back on that very slow forum. Didn't feel for it. :D :D ;)
So how did it actually turned out?
I've read in the Asus Striker Extreme forum that mobo started to bend when installing this massive GeminII. I don't know if he did something wrong, but he saw the heatsink loosening from the chipsets while installing it.
Maybe bigger isn't always better.
For me personally. I like to go...
:D Thx Avias.... Again :D Maybe one day I will be able to return a helping hand ;)
So a mail to Tuniq will help for knowing it will fit.
But then, what Thermal Paste should I use?
I've posted earlier this link to a shootout of paste. But I can't find the winner "Masscool Shin-Etsu x23"...
NHO: done ;)
Hmm, I really would love for a review on all those latest high end coolers on a quad-core. But then, not like that other review where all are modded with 2145 and a half fans, or little less :)
And to make me really happy, monitored with core-temp or TAT and running Prime 95...
