Well I just tried to watch some 720p trailers on my xbox 360 and they work fine, this leads me to believe that my video card is at fault. I will post this in the video card section.

anyone know any good sites for themes for shell programs that have high res skins/themes? I currently use desktopX but I dunno where to find any themes for my 22 inch monitor. I'm open to trying a new program if that helps at all. :D

I think the colors are pretty good though keep in mind i'm a noob, I can't really notice a diff between the quality of the picture with the chimei and my daewoo 17 inch crt. I will say though that the viewing angles on this chimei are HORRIBLE, I didn't notice it at first but gawd damn they're...

IF you go back a page i posted a link to a very cheap vga cable for the 360 that works just as good as the expensive ones.

I just got my chimei today and while some say the stand is not sturdy i havent noticed any problems with it so far. I'm really enjoying this monitor and for the price it can't be beat. Hell if you wanted you could get the chimei and spend a few bucks on an aftermarket stand and still not break...

thanks guys i figured it out, I dumped my drivers and got official ones from website. 93.XX and the aspect ratio is working perfectly.

what would be the best drivers to use for the aspect ratio setting?

im using 93.81 and i dont see an advanced view :eek:

lol i don't even know how to get to the settings, I've been all through this control panel and I still don't see a damn thing that says aspect ratio on it. :eek:

I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about but the screen doesn't have any type of extra "finish" on it that i can see. It just looks normal to me.

Disagree! today I went to fry's and for the first time I saw lcd monitors lined up next to each other. I dunno about 21 inchers but there is a major diff in size between 20 and 22 inch monitors. I saw it clearly.

I just ordered one of these after taking 2 months to decide what monitor to get. I decided on this one because of the price really, i also ordered a agp 7600GS to go along with it since i figured my 9800SE wouldnt have been enough to push this bad boy in any games at native res. Should be here...

It wasn't any one monitor, I still wasn't sure what monitor to get and i've been looking at newegg everyday for a while now and I just noticed the prices on a lot of monitors went up. Including the 22 gamer and the 22 chimei

Which one of these monitors would be better for me to use if I plan on watcing lots of movies and playing games/360? I'm leaning toward the hp because of the backlight bleeding problems of the 22 inchers but the hp monitor seems to be kinda old compared to the new 22 inchers and i'm wondering if...

hmm depending on how much this thing cost i'm gonna either get the new samsung 22 inch or this LG. Both have component input anyways and I think I like the look of the LG more. I wonder if either one comes with a a stand that can rotate though.

I was interested and debating wether or not to get a 27 inch hdtv but I do want to use whatever I get as a pc monitor also with the 360 being the main use. I'd end up watching a lot of movies/anime with it too. I've never had an lcd befor and i'm even wondering if TN is as bad as some people...

Ok I have a few questions. Would an IPS panel be my best bet if I wanted to use a wide screen monitor for my 360 and if yes then what is a good ips panel for under 500 usd? the bigger the better :D Edit: component inputs would be great too.
