That issue can be due to many part(s) malfunctioning... If you are in local CA, or are willing to ship to unit to us, we can run extensive tests on the unit and determine which part(s) are faulty... UV!

If the tube was hit (and it looks like it was), the tube is rendered useless... UV!

In short and not going too deep into details.... The GDM-C520/520K has a different chassis than both the P1130 and the CPD-G520 (there is no CPD-G520K), which in fact have the same chassis. Besides that, the GDM-C520/520K had a high grade picture tube with a different phosphor than the CPD-G520...
