I have also been thinking of picking this monitor up. I looks excellent and i hate backight bleed. I just can't find it in my town and with my luck i will order it online and get the only one with horrible backlight bleed shipped to me lol :)

Wow, i can't believe nobody has tried one of these out yet. I got my HDTV but these BenQ's are on sale for $220 (Canadian) right now. I might just buy one for fun lol.
I just got a free Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse. Ever since i installed them my monitors have stopped turning off.
I tried setting the screen saver and it also doesn't work (I don't normally use one). Also tried rebooting a few times since sometimes a program (like an emulator that...
I might order it this weekend... Really sick of waiting. With my luck it will have like 200ms input lag, ultra horrible back light bleeding and the vga wont support component for the Wii :D
I have also been waiting to see some reviews. Looks like i could be nice but i can't find it in town so i wont buy it online until there's more information about it.
Would also like to know if the VGA port does in fact support component input as im looking for something small with low lag for...
I'm pretty much looking for that same thing. I really want to try the BenQ E2420HD. I asume it would be decent at 480p as well since it says the VGA port supports component devices such as a Wii (480p). I just can't find any real info or reviews on the monitor so i havnt been able to pull the...
LOL
No you where prolly not talking to him but guess what... your in a forum which is the equivalent to speaking in public. In your case you where just proving (in public) to everyone that 1. you don't know what your talking about and 2. are a complete douche bag.
Thanks for the reply. No idea if it can do sync-on-green. Id really like to try this monitor out but its super hard to find any real info about it so far :(
On their website and many stores it says "one D-Sub (VGA) port to support component devices such as Wii consoles"
Does this mean it will accept any component signals from one of those simple component to vga adapters?
Also the PDF manual i was able to find says you can swtich the D-Sub...

Anyone have any experience with this monitor? I am looking at it over an HDTV for Xbox/PS3 only.. Hoping since it is a monitor it will have far less lag then the average HDTV. I cant find any real reviews about it anywhere :(
Googled around for hours .. So many people talking about the same stuff with no real answers. Other then some TVs can and most cant. There really should be some sort of database started. hehe
There is a retail store here that has it in stock.. 599 CAD .. duno if i should buy it yet though. Guess i could just return it if i don't like it. It's more that i haven't decided if i want a 27 inch monitor or a 26/32 inch HDTV yet heh
Thinking about buying this (the 27 inch) for 360/ps3 only.. Hurry and buy it so you can tell us what you think :P
Have you found any reviews on it? I cant find any real ones.
Most of the TV's i tried last year where good enough with PS2, Xbox and Gamecube. It's stuff older then that im worried about. SNES is usually the worst of the bunch :(
And yea, there are only 2 retail stores that i can return anything to in town. After i tried 4 i just got sick of seeing the...
I'm searching around here and other places .. This has prolly been asked a 100 times but ..
Are there any LCDs (available in Canada) that are known to handle 240p/480i better then others? :)
I'm looking for an LCD (32/37/40 inch). Problem is i play alot of older systems. I tried the HDTV...
Thanks man, I will deff look into that monitor.
I am aware of the 1:1 stuff .. most 24s don't have it and i would much rather have a 16:9 over a 16:10 that does 1:1 properly anyways. Whatever display I buy will never see any computer use whatsoever. Prolly be about %90 360 %10 PS3
Since whatever i buy will never be used for anything other then the consoles mentioned, their isn't much point in buying a 16:10 monitor with 1:1 .. the pic will just be smaller then a 16:9 of the same size.
Looks like the BenQ E2400HD is what i want. Might go look around for it today ...
