Finally got mine last night. I ordered from HP US and can confirm that the US version is the same IPS panel as the European version. I haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet, but here are my initial thoughts. Pixels/Defects - So far so good. I haven't noticed any bad or stuck...

Not "yet". Hazro has said they are working on getting a US distributor, but they've been saying that for a long time, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

The HP LP2475w does not have an internal LUT. There are very few monitors with internal LUTs and most of them are professional monitors that cost thousands. The NEC xx90 series (2490, 2690, etc), are the "cheapest" monitors I know of that have internal LUTs.

The LP2475w has no internal LUT. I'm not sure about the Dreamcolor LP2480zw, but HP has just announced a hardware calibrator for the LP2480zw, so maybe it does have one.

I hope he meant his xbox has no HDMI? There should be an HDMI port (#5) on the monitor between the Display port (#4) and the 2 DVI ports (#6).

The NEC 2490 and 2690 are matte. Supposedly, the new revision of the Hazro 24" IPS panel (HZ24Wi) is glossy... I've never seen one though, as they are currently only available in the UK. I'm not sure about their 26" and 30" screens. http://www.hazro.co.uk

I don't know anything about European pricing, as I live in the US, but the Euro HP sites clearly state the LP2475w panel type as S-IPS. It is listed in the spec sheet and all promotional material. If they did not list the panel type, then they could legally get away with substituting cheaper...

The 2475w is S-IPS. It *should* be a very good monitor with a decent price. We'll find out soon, hopefully.

The 2480zx is a professional graphics monitor with an LED backlight and 133% wide gamut. The 2475w uses a standard (though wide gamut) CCFL backlight and achieves 102% gamut.
