Thats a great theory, but lets deal with the facts as we know them and that is so far the IP5 in processing power is getting trounced worse than Bulldozer did by SandyBridge.
More actual LEGIT benches coming out now, shock and horror, once the Apple spin machine is actually checked out, it actually turns out the s3 is nearly 500 points faster ;)
iPhone 5: 1601
Samsung S3: 2087

Did nobody read the link that shows the S3 running Jellybean, which thousands are already using, scored 200 points more than the IP5?This article is bunk
Thats great except the S3 running Jellybean scores 1700-1800 points and is actually the worlds most powerful phone

It isnt warping\rubber banding, I and most people still get that on occasion, it was stuttering that was with you pretty much every second of the game.
I had my windows os on a sata 2 harddrive, used to take 2 mins and 15 seconds to boot, lot of stuff to startup, cloned the disk and copied to a new sata 2 ssd, boot time to being able to start any program and everything loaded is now 23 seconds.
Apparently if you just install windows 7 first, as in let win7 create the recovery partition and the windows partition, run through the basic install just so you get to the desktop, then restart, boot in to Acronis, only clone over the win 7 partition, leaving the exisiting recovery partition...
I want to vdimm my mobo, the bottom section with the x's marked is what is supposed to be done, the added pot is what i think needs to be done, does this look right? Its a vdimm mod for p5b-e, vdimm only goes up to 2.1v standard, this adds another 0.4 volts.Im useless with electronics so id like...
I wouldnt touch the corsair , I got those exact sticks without realising it was now a different chip and it sucked for overclocking, also one of the sticks is bad and gives random BSOD, fails orthos and memtest
I have the first revision p5b-e and the vdimm voltage only goes up to 2.1volts.I have a 6400 conroe that I want to get 3.4ghz with. I want a ddr2 6400 set as a twin pair that do 4-4-4-12.I need to choose out of the following
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel...
Ran at default still got errors within 2 minutes! So i took 1 stick out and tried 3 times with same stick , errors within 1 minute, tried the other stick works fine at stock and and overclocked an hasnt failed orthos once, RMA Time!
this is the thing im not certain it isnt the mobo either. This mobo has an insane vdroop setting to 1.5 gives 1.38volts under load!Post screen also sees my ram as PC4300 when its ddr800
So my 2.1volt ram fails orthos set at its specified voltage of 2.1 and doesnt fail till over an hour on 2.0?!Still trying to get my overclcok stable but why would running 2.1cause errors?Ram is 2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 4-4-4-12, EPP...
So I bought a new system, 6400, p5b-e,2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 4-4-4-12, EPP(2.1volt), an 8800gtx and a thermaltake toughpower 650watt. So I go to overclock i set to 401 x 8 for 3.2ghz, seems to run fine in windows and gaming at 1.43...
Im curious, I have a 8800gtx on a 22" playing all games at max res of 1680 by 1050,4aa 16af, you think thats overkill? What point does it warrent the 8800gtx?
Yeah I fail to see how anyones rig can run oblivion with no stutters at all, Harddrives are the weak link in any comp and oblivion needs to load from it at certain points so you invariably get stutter.
Run CPU-Z and look where it shows you the ram ratio it should be at 1:1.Btw I just built a very similar system to your yesterday, 6400 clocked to 3.2ghz,2 gb ddr 800ram, P5B-E and a 8800gtx ;), runs great apart from a wonky sensor on my board showing insane temps.
I reapplied thermal paste and checked immediatly after rebooting after machine had been off for 30 mins and it was at 119c again, something tells me the sensor is fubar, i can put my finger on the heatsink but it starts to burn after 5-6 seconds, i have no idea if thats normal.I also gamed for a...
Its a regular setup with motherboard on side, has the heatsink as shown in this pic
Should it be so Hot that i cant hold my finger on it for more than 5 seconds? Its a new board yes, just got it today. Also speedfan is reporting the aux temps higher now tthan when it was overclocked to 3.2...
I dont know if you read my previous post, but speedfan was showing my northbridge temps at around 120c (aux temps) I had my 6400 overclocked to 3.2ghz, I actually put by hand on the northbridge heatsink and it burns your hand when you touch it!!I then quickly went to bios, restored defaults, and...
Im slightly confused about which core temps are right,6400 overclocked to 3.2ghz,System temps seem a little high and what is that aux temp that is around 118c?should I be worried about that? Thanks for any help ;)
ok I didnt check the vcore yet, Im away atm. What should my vcore be at for 3.2ghz on a p5b?Sounds like that could be it, and great guide for modding btw!
Hi, 1st post!Anyway just got a new system, 6400,8800gtx, scythe infinity etc.Anyway after installing the infinity and running it at stock speeds I get 40-45c idle with 5 minutes of being in windows.I tried to overclock to 3.2ghz so 400x8 and the temps back in windows of cpu straight after reboot...
