I am looking at getting a new board.
It has to be AM3, DDR3 and has at least two PCI-E x16 slots that will run crossfire at x16 + x16, not x16 + x8 or x8 + x8 in crossfire configuration.
I'm looking as these but they're not definite...
When I insert the motherboard setup disc it says "The OS not support!"
I'm running Vista Ultimate.
I never got it to work so I downloaded drivers off ECS website. The setup disc still doesn't recognize my OS.
Could this be the cause of the bios random hangs? I have the latest bios...
I have a fan that has variable speed specs, 800 - 2400 RPM via fan controller.
If I decide to use the fan without the controller what speed will the fan default to?

I just upgrade my CPU to the X6800 and have the latest bios installed.
The X6800 multiplier is unlock on the CPU but the bios will not go over 11.
I have Asus's P5L-MX motherboard with the latest bios installed.
Posted this on Asus board but the forum seems empty..
I uploaded the information from CPU-Z:
I'm only getting 1600mhz out of the 2.93mhz X6800 cpu.
Did I suppose to change any settings in the bios after swapping out CPUs? like the bus multiplier?
What's the fastest Intel CPU I can get for this motherboard?
I'm running a core 2 duo 1.86 Ghz with a 7600GT GPU.
What do you guys think if I upgrade the GPU to a 8800GT with the fastest CPU this old board can take? Will it be enough to power most modern games?

I'm a little scared.. because I don't want to fry my beloved PC with a wrong choice... Post some new newegg power supply links that will work on my PC. I'm looking to spend upward of $30. And the power supply needs to be over 300watts.
I just bought this GPU from newegg it recommends a 300w GPU.
I have done some research on the matter and found out the GPU needs about 75watts and gets about 50watts from the AGP/PCI slot.
My pc isn't fully loaded... Do you guys think I can get by with a 250w psu?
