So, as I was looking at the box of my $30 soundblaster audigy SE and I noticed it said it had EAX. I was wondering, whats the diffrerence between the EAX on this and the EAX on a X-Fi?

Can someone please explain to me, in relative detail, what EAX is and how it will improve my gaming experience. Also, throw in your opinion on whether or not I should upgrade my SB Audigy SE to a X-Fi xtreme music when I purchase my logitech z-5500s.
