What, why? It's the top card right now. Who cares what the company does to a reviewer as long as their product is good?
Instead of returning it you might as well just sell it.
Picked up Red Dead 2 with the discount. It's so much more playable on keyboard/mouse for me than it is with a PS4 controller. Plus the graphics are a lot nicer on my PC.
Bah, I've been here almost 15 years and I've always been about best-bang-for-the-buck.
It doesn't make sense to spend 2x, 3x, or more on highly depreciating assets for performance or features that you don't need.
My main exception is TN panels - I'm not getting one of those, no matter how low...
Meh, the Steelcase chairs are much more comfortable for me. The hard front edge on the Aeron gets uncomfortable if you sit up on the front edge.
$500 is still a pretty good deal if you like these though.
Anyone still using their 2209WA? I just realized mine is 9 years old, but it's still in perfect condition and is the best for reading text. I'm using it to post this right now.
Though I wonder if there are any newer monitors that are as good or better for eye strain while reading.
I took the Angular Complete Guide training and it was much better than I expected. But this price really isn't very special - they are ALWAYS offering some deal that takes prices down to about $10. And even when there is no deal, I think the highest price I saw for the one I took was $20.
Here is a good early benchmark video for desktop users with 8700k, pre-patch and post-patch:
TL;DW: gaming not affected, NVMe SSD performance 5-15% worse.
For $10 you could get these glasses from Zenni, I have read multiple threads saying they work well.
Also they make you look like the bad guy from Indiana Jones.
Whattt??? The bundle with the gift card was $499 when I ordered at 9 PM, and was still that price at midnight. When did this change?
I wonder if I could contact support to get the gift card thrown in. For some reason I doubt it.
Just picked one up. My current PSU is almost 9 years old and I think it might be crapping out on me (getting weird untraceable restarts), so time for a switch.
This would even let me SLI another 1070 in there...
Aerons suck. The hard plastic front edge of the seat makes it uncomfortable on my thighs after long times.
Steelcase Leap or Amia is much better. The Embody also looks like they got rid of the front edge, so it's probably better than an Aeron too.
I can wear similar Sennheiser models (555, 595) for 4 or 5 hours at a time and not feel any discomfort. And that's with glasses on.
Sometimes I forgot that I'm even wearing headphones.
with open cans, if your phone or doorbell rings and you're playing music you can still hear it
also open cans supposedly sound better, but i can neither confirm nor deny because i haven't owned a decent pair of closed cans
