wtf is wrong with these damn cpu prices. I bought this cpu a year and a half ago for $199. Now after 18 months it's only 30 dollars cheaper and that's considered a steal??? And newegg has it for $280 ffs!
AMD seriously needs to get its shit together and provide some real competition in the cpu...
Excellent headphones but can be a little uncomfortable if used for extended periods of time because they are extremely tight. If you have a very large head these are not for you.
On the plus side because they are so tight they block out almost all ambient sounds even at very low volumes which...
well i dunno about that. I still run my trusted asrock dual sata2, which i got for like 65 bucks or something at 300FSB.
Been running strong for over 3 years now with an opty 165 at 2.7 GHz (that's 50% OC over the stock 1.8GHz!!!.).
Probably the the best bang for buck build i've ever had...
2.2 is pathetic on that chip. It should go a lot higher.
Your problem is most likely the memory. You need to put it on a divider . You can't just increase the FSB because the CPU will take it but the memory won't.
There are plenty of guides that tell you how to do that. (there's a sticky in...
How come there's no mention or analysis in any crysis related articles of the multiplayer portion (crysis wars).
I bring this up because there's more to a game engine then just graphics and there's something to be said about the consequences of using (or rather shoehorning) these 'next gen'...
people still shop at EB/gamestop ?
I wander what keeps you coming back? Is it the ridiculously awesome deals they have, like when they buy your used game for 15 bucks, turn around and with a straight face put a sticker for 55 on it?
Or maybe it's the overly knowledgeable and helpful staff...
hmmm...well i put mine in, and even though the box says it's the vanilla (896-P3-1260-AR) RivaTuner is reporting the clocks as 626/1053 which are the clocks for the SSC version.
Not sure what to make of this...
hey guys i got mine too.
I ordered the vanilla from amazon. I guess these guys were not so bad after all. They probably honored any orders for which they had cards in stock, and then canceled the rest.
That monitor has both DVI and VGA inputs. If you're using DVI try using VGA.
I use to have that monitor and i remember having issues with it blacking out while connected to DVI but it was fine when using VGA.
feel exactly the same. Especially with the current decline in PC titles i really can't justify upgrades. Spending hundreds of dollars just to play one (mediocre) game is really pointless.
I think nvidia and amd need to wake up and start investing money in pc game development. Almost all games...
cpu bottleneck gets a little overblown in these forums.
All it means is the 4850 will not perform at its full potential. But it will still give you a very nice fps bump, much more so then a new cpu/mobo with an old video card would.
Although a new cpu /mobo will definitely improve your fps...
monitor size is irrelevant when it comes to desktop space. What matters is resolution.
The 30" running at 2560x1600 will have a lot more desktop space then the 42" TV at 1080p so even though the tv is bigger you won't be able to fit as much 'stuff' on the screen as on the 30".
It all...
This was introduced today, and will be available in a couple of months. (http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/18/nec-kicks-out-26-inch-ea261wm-lcd-monitor-with-wuxga-resolution/)
Specs: 1920 x 1200 pixels, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 5 ms response time, 400cd/m² brightness, 92% color gamut

Actually the 8800GTX has dropped in price quite a bit. If you don't mind rebates you can have one for $300.

This is not a problem. You just need to set your video card to do the scaling instead of the monitor. All nvidia cards do this.
In other words the resolution on your monitor will always be 2560x1600. You can then set the resolution on your game to be whatever you want. Your video card will...
good case excellent price. I'm using one for my file server. Paid more then twice that about 6 months ago and i mine doesn't even have that hawt window:(
you should complain and bitch to them until they give you what you paid for. They love selling those extended warranties but when it comes time to honor them they turn into scam artists.
In no way is their shitty $300 22" monitor comparable to the 2405 (or any 24" monitor for that matter)...
i picked up a used 7600gt from ebay a few weeks ago for 50 bucks. Works great. If you watch the auctions closely for a few days you should definitely be able to get something decent for very little money.
A little patience is all it takes.
Don't like PNY
I had a PNY geForce 4600Ti which went bad after a year or so and when i tried to RMA it they requested that i send in the original purchase receipt or they would not do it.
I was furious...i mean who saves receipts after a year? So I just photshoped a fake receipt from some...
Just bought one from best buy businesshttp://www.bestbuybusiness.com/bbfb/en/US/adirect/bestbuy?cmd=catProductDetail&showAddButton=true&productID=BB10724640
Coupon SURV7DAYS will take 10% off which makes shipping free and the price the same as in store.
aahhh...i fucking hate best buy. They're always pulling shit like this...price-matched but nowhere to be found.
I'll try walmart tomorrow. Otherwise i'm sure there will be more deals on these on black friday...
Greetings, friend. Do you wish to look as happy as me?
Well, you have the power in you right now. So use it, and send one joost invite to [email protected]
Don't delay. Eternal happiness is just an invite away!
Well i didn't think an explanation was necessary, but if you insist:
Means the energy released from the cpu as heat cannot be destroyed but only transferred from one medium to the next: cpu, heatsink and finally air.
In more layman's terms this law states that energy cannot be transferred...
can't say i place much trust in the newegg reviews tbh...
here's one down the page from someone with a high Tech Level
Apparently this cooler not only transfers heat better from the cpu into the air, but it also breaks all laws of the known universe and actually destroys the heat...
Your computer has more than enough power for anything wow will throw at it.
Your resolution is a little high but you should still be able to maintain very good FPS.
If you're dipping into the lower 10s then there's something wrong with your setup.
Start with standard driver cleanup and...
