Well untill mine showed DDI Version: 11,I wasn't able to run anything in DX 11 but as soon as I installed the 9.12 Hotfix drivers everything started working as it should and coincidence or not dxdiag now shows DDI Version as DX11 instead of DX 10.1.

My 4870X2 score vs my 5870.

Well last evening I installed Windows 7 and ran Vantage once again, got a whoopin 11395 GPU score...I then installed Farcry 2 to see if things had improved and they did not so fed up I took the 5870 out and reinstalled my 4870X2, games were running fast once again, I would say about 25- 50%...

I tried the latest driver from AMD with zero success, I am waiting for my copy of Windows 7 and since I don't beleive there is anything physically wrong with my video card I expect every pieces to fall in place with a fresh OS install.

Our CPU overclocks are nearly identicals as are our Vantage CPU scores but your GPU score is way way higher than mine.I will wait till new drivers are released and reinstall Vista if I have to.

Time will tell, on my last run I got 11305 as my gpu score, GPU-Z showed my card running 850-1200 during the whole test.

The 5870 being a little slower than a 4870X2 is not the point here, I knew it would be as every review outhere stated so, the point is getting it running as it should wich would be a little slower max and average FPS wise while a little faster min FPS wise.Returning the card isn`t an option...

I tried Farcry last night at those settings just for the heck of it and it was a slide show 15-25 FPS.

I would have to agree, that 11000 Vantage score was quite unexpected and sign of things to come it seems.

I was expecting exactly a slightly slower but smoother running card, not the case at all for now.

Listen I dont mind putting time into it but after reading every thing on here I was expecting a card slightly slower than my 4870X2 as far as max and average FPS goes but as fast if not faster as far as Min FPS goes so far it is worst at everything and it is not even close.
