According to Nvidia's new graphics cards are a big deal, the 1070 will outperform the Titan X
"In fact, the more significant GPU announced today might well be the GTX 1070, a $379 card that also outperforms the Titan X. "
A buddy of mine gave me his old machine when he decided to build a new one, and his old machine is considerably better than my old desktop (Q6600 w/ 8GB & GTX 470). The water hadn't been changed in 3 years, and there was crazy growth inside the system. Needless to say, I tore it down, cleaned...
That is the answer I was looking for. Thank you for your time. I was under the impression that Cisco would list ALL of their models in the software advisor, including old retired models. I was wrong. I am pretty sure it has that version IOS on it already.
I haven't heard of that command...
I bought a 3548XL switch off ebay for real cheap. I am configuring it right now for home use, mainly to play with.
It has IOS 12.0 and doesn't support even some basic commands, like int ranges or even the do command in global config mode. And it doesn't seem to support VLANs either.
I...
I am going through CCNA right now. I've finished modules 1 and 2 and I am working on module 3. I am fortunate to have free access to the course.
The official Cisco books are actually very easy to understand and explain in enough detail for you to have a very good understanding of the...
Premium price is an understatement.
I guess I am just gonna stick with cheap DVI monitors and not even bother with eyefinity until the displayport monitors come down in price and go up in selection, at least to a competitive level with DVI monitors.
take my word on it, an 11 page document for the entire US/S Korea military operations is nothing. A platoon-size op-order for a simple offense or defense is about 10 pages.
a detailed and more realistic plan/op-order for the complexity and number of troops involved would be in the hundreds...
They don't mean a 1000x reduction in voltage, just a 1000x reduction in the waste gate leakage. it would still require a typical, if slightly less, voltage to operate the transistor.
Good evening [H],
I think I have a good idea about this question, but I want to be sure. I understand it is probably a stupid question, but a question nonetheless. I searched the forum and I didn't find any relevant postings:
Will any HDMI cable support 120hz or only the 'premium'...
Well, I just ordered the Professional and it cost the same $30 following the instructions from one of the top posters in this thread.
I am really excited about this. Maybe I will be able to go ahead and put W7 on my netbook afterall...
the read speeds for RAID0 and RAID5 are almost identical since they are both striped, however the write speed for RAID5 is significantly slower since it has to calculate AND write the parity bit
dude, seriously? i am pretty sure that i also posted a link to these cages, which are the ones that i would actually buy, and they are only $20. the norco is not a bad case for what it is, but i have a gaming rig and i just happen to have a lot of harddrives. i would also like for it to look...
ok, these are 7200.12 drives, do i need to update the firmware like the old 7200.11 drives? if so, how do i do that?
also, i never updated the firmware on my 7200.11 1tb drive, but i never had any problems with it. i bought the drive before all of the firmware issues came about. did i just...
is apple releasing 3.1 anytime soon? i havent heard anything about it yet.
btw, i am PC all the way, check out the sig. I strongly dislike all things @pple, i just happen to absolutely love the iphone and it is also the best smartphone available.
chrome in vista 64 is wonderful, and it...
I have just included 4 screenshots from HDTach using the 4 combinations b/w my RAID array and RaptorX.
I must say that I am completely blown away by the performance of this RAID array, and I seriously doubt i will ever buy a raptor again, unless of course I buy a 2nd RaptorX and RAID0 those...
awesome, that worked. but it takes longer than just holding the home button until the app closes. oh well, cant ask for too much i suppose
i think an alternate web browser would be great if it included support for flash/shockwave/silverlight etc, otw it wouldnt be really all that useful
dang i didnt even think about those. i found this one here from CM that includes a 120mm fan and is much cheaper, i will probably get that once i can get back out of the space-deprived barracks and back into my big case.
on another note, i have raid 10 setting up and it is initializing the...
dang, i hate not having enough 3.5" hdd slots in the case for all of my hdd's. i have the coolermaster 690 currently as a temp case, and the stacker 830 evo back at home to use again in a couple months, and neither of them have enough 3.5" slots. suggestions?
roger that. i am attempting to get the card installed and everything, its a little different than most hardware since it is a hardware level firmware more than a driver itself. it is definitely a new and interesting experience...
but thats only for the firmware. like i said thats the easy part. i am wondering about the software (driver/utility), which is located a few lines below. i am not sure which one is correct. i am on vista 64 bit. this is the page where i get stuck at.
ok, i am about to install the card and then set up the raid array.
1) do i need to initialize/format the disks first?
2) i see the updated firmware on the website, but i am having a hard time finding which updated software to download, any help? it is the areca 1210 and here is the link to...
i am so excited i cannot help but post:i get the rest of my drives and areca card in tomorrow. too bad i wont be able to install any of it until the weekend after the 4th or July
dude, this is in reference to the 3.0 OS on the iphone, nothing to do with safari on the computer.
safari 4.0 on my computer is actually pretty good, too bad i use chrome...
Has anybody noticed that since 3.0 safari has been running very slow? I have the FreeMemory app that lets me see the amount of ram available and the running processes. Safari never closes anymore.
Also, I tried to forcibly shut down safari, which always worked before 3.0 (just hold the home...
although i agree that higher density==faster performance, there is a current max density, its the number of platters they have been increasing recently. more platters doesnt necessarily make a faster drive since the seeker head can only be in one place at any given moment.
