I think these parts are from a Vega64, but not positive. Clearing out my closet and wanted to see if this lot would be of any use to someone. Only includes exactly what is shown, no other screws/hardware. Asking $50 shipped
A quick note about the high temps. Seems like they're reporting 20c higher than they actually are. You may have to modify your fan profiles about what temps they spool up at, until the bug is fixed. https://www.kotaku.com.au/2017/03/amds-ryzen-cpus-arent-running-as-hot-as-they-say-they-are/
Selling my 980TI that I bought new for over $700. Loved this card, time to move on. This card was left completely stock. Never overclocked or modified in any way. Had a very easy life, probably Just Cause 3 at max settings was the hardest it ever had to work. Includes box and all contents...
That is fair. These early versions don't have the best visual quality, but I am really talking about the immersion of VR versus the immersion of 3D. Video quality will definitely need to improve in VR, but the experience of walking around on your feet with an HMD on cannot compare to sitting in...
Basically anyone who is arguing 3D and VR are even similar hasn't tried VR. Do yourself a favor and don't say another word until you try VR for yourself.
You guys are talking out of your ass. Comparing VR to 3D Monitors is a complete farse. 3D isn't even in the same realm of immersion as VR and they can't be compared.
I have a Vive and a successor prototype to the DK2.
There won't be any problems selling VR headsets to the average joe once they try them out. VR is the future and is amazing.
I would have already sold my z170 pro gaming if it weren't for the fact that I also have an Asus 980 TI. This is the first major build I've done in like 7 years, and it has just been a disappointment. If I sell my motherboard, I'll sell the card too and go full gigabyte.
I need to get in to some [H] iRacing. I only have a class D license, and still mostly compete in the MX5 championship. I do own the porsche though, and so I practice in GT3 and C-Spec sessions.
Wait until you guys try iRacing in Virtual Reality. You're going to shit your pants.
I've got to play a lot with the HTC Vive and it is an absolute game changer. People don't realize how immersive it is and how well it works.
I totally understand everyone's hesitation with VR because of the ridiculous flop that 3D gaming was, but this is the real deal. I've been in in PC...
Wait until you try it. The space you need to have for even full-room stuff is not very large. I'm sure there will be apps out there in the future that push the playspace size to the very limit, but I just don't foresee it being a big deal.
to "Polish" like sausage, not like car wax. Both interpretations are acceptable though.
Reasons:
1. We all make mistakes. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I used this completely retarded username, that I use for nothing else and not sure what it even means.
2. I've been coming to...
I have access to a Vive and it is super awesome. You can calibrate the system for either full room gameplay or standing/sitting room only. I think you will be able to figure out an adequate play-space easier than you think. Sure you may need to clear some things temporarily, but the "room-setup"...
Definitely stay away from the Pro Gaming board. I'm going to offload mine as quickly as I can. I'm looking at a Maximus Hero, but even then the mediocre reviews on newegg are a little concerning. The Z97 boards were so rock solid, I'm mystified by these Z170 issues.
Z170 Pro Gaming Bios 0803
Corsair 16GB LPX 3000MHZ
i7-6700K
The SA/IO voltages have been set to 1.20 and 1.25, as recommend by Asus. Turn on computer, it fails to boot three times. Eventually BIOS comes up, says Overclocking failed (all I'm trying to do is enable XMP, no further OCing) so I...
Having more problems with my Z170 Pro Gaming. More cold boot issues, more BIOS updates from Asus that don't seem to help. I'm going to see about RMAing the board. I was considering purchasing a Maximus board as there seem to be way less BIOS updates for it, but even seeing people complaining...
I purchased an Asus Z170 Pro Gaming and have been having a really bad time with it. What the hell ASUS? Are you dropping in quality? They're releasing a new BIOS for the pro gaming board every few weeks and the problems continue to get worse. I'm getting in touch with support about RMAing the...
It works from the file simply being extracted on your OS hd. At least, I was simply able to point my easy flash app to my downloads folder where the .cap file was extracted. Updated no problem. :D I've seen other Asus motherboards require USB sticks be formatted as fat32, fyi.
Hi guys,
Just thought I would chime in here. I have access to both the Oculus CV1 prototype (CB) and the HTC Vive prototype. I don't think I could be considered too old of a gamer, but am just starting out my third decade on our wonderful planet.
I've been fortunate to play many of the...
Yeah... regretting the pro gaming mobo choice. I thought I was a good deal, but it seems it is a poverty board using questionable binned components. There are way more bios updates for this thing than the Z170 Maximus Hero, feels like they're trying to fix something that isn't affecting the...
EVERY time I cold boot my PC, it fails to boot up and gives an "Overclocking failed" error message, press F1 etc etc. I go in to the bios, change nothing, restart the machine, it boots in to windows fine and I can stress test it to my heart's desire. I have an Asus Z170 Pro Gaming. This behavior...
Hey guys,
I'm really out of the loop with monitors these days, but I would like to buy a new one for my new build. I just bought a 980TI so I am looking for something nice to go with it and plan to be playing many games, but also a very tiny bit of photo work. I have no major interest in 4K...
I'm running the exact same stuff Corsair LPX 3000MHZ 2x8GB sticks. I have an Asus Z170 Pro Gaming and I am getting freezes as soon as I enable the XMP profile. I am starting to see many bad reviews pop up on newegg and amazon for this Corsair LPX, as well as many other motherboards being unable...
Check local computer stores. Picked up my 6700k locally, though it was overpriced at 379.99. However, no worry as they had Corsair DDR4 LPX 3000MHZ 2x8GB sticks for 149.99. 10 bucks less than the same exact corsair ram but in 4x4 configuration at Amazon and Frys. 10 dollar convenience charge, I...
I gotta say, I am divorcing google the best I can lately. I have really been enjoying firefox since they copied Chrome's UI. Duckduckgo is a good search replacement and hushmail is a good gmail replacement.
I started using chrome the second it was available. I went straight from IE to Chrome, never really used FF. I switched from Chrome to FF a few months ago and I have been really happy. Google isn't what they used to be. Chrome is still a good browser, but I am trusting Google less and less.
Up for sale is my mid-2010 15-inch Macbook Pro. It was the very top of the line model for its release cycle. Stats are as follows:
2.66 Ghz Core i7 Processor
Nvidia GT 330M discrete graphics chipset with 512MB of VRAM
8GB of DDR3 System RAM
500GB Seagate HDD
1680x1050 Glossy Display...
