Google Slammed for Chrome Change That Strips Out "WWW" from Domains

This is one of the original examples from the article. "How will you distinguish http://www.pool.ntp.org vs http://pool.ntp.org ? One takes you to the website about the project, the other goes to a random ntp server." They may be rare, but there are real world examples of this deviation...

Apple's New iPhone X May Require Authenticated Chargers for Fast Charging

Sorry, but this is such a non-issue. SImply DONT buy the "100w Guangzhou special". Stick with reputable brands only, which still leaves a TON of options available without resorting to no-name Chinese brands.

Apple's New iPhone X May Require Authenticated Chargers for Fast Charging

LOL, courage! Seriously, the Sheeple will somehow find a way to spin this as positive I am sure. We have had fast charging for YEARS and there has not been this epidemic of fires caused by faulty chargers.

UK Detecting Drivers' Cell Phone Usage

LOL, you read my mind. Completely useless technology in the end. Our phone are ALWAYS in use, even when pocketed with tech like EAS and other push based notifications/apps. Or what about cars with built-in Wifi? Those will also trip this since they are basically just data-only phone...

Apple Pays Ireland First Tranche of Disputed Taxes

They (EU) doesn't need to arrest anyone to enforce this. They can simply place a lien on some property or assets and collect via that method. Or simply block EU market access as another tactic. They have a range of options that Apple is open to being a business in EU markets.

Walmart Selling Lots of Counterfeit Products

If you are going to allow marketplace sellers, then you deserve ALL the liability, lawsuits, and/or fines that will inevitably come with any lack of oversight. I don't care who the vender is (Amazon, Walmart, Sears, etc...), the responsibility lies squarely with them. Failure to police it...

Companies Are Storing Your Data on Tape Again

Yup. We do primarily disk backups, but for LONG term storage (multi-year retentions),or for legal archive of data related to lawsuits we still use small tape based autoloaders. Current model is Scalar I3, 6 - 15TB per tape.... Fast as hell and nearly automated.

The iPhone X Needs a $25 USB Type-C Cable to Fast Charge

My GS6 has supported fast charging (dont care if its a QC spec format, or a Samsung tweak as its just as fast either way) since day one with supplied hardware. iOS 11 GM Leak Confirms Multiple iPhone X Features

Kaspersky Withdraws Windows 10 Antivirus Antitrust Action against Microsoft

Kaspersky is wrong here IMO. I have had advanced SEP versions about 3 to 6 months prior to a major update, and those newer SEP versions are often required to allow the "Insider Previews" through, based on early access to those newer major 10 updates. These are finished SEP client updates too...

The fact that AMD has denied any up front sampling shows they KNOW this card will be a dud. I have doubts that it will even get within 10% of the real Fury X, especially once thermal throttling kicks in.
