It was never because it was unfair, that was the excuse but in reality i'm sure they figured out it wasn't worth the time or money adding it in. They probably added widescreen to Battlefield Heroes and are going to add it to 2142 since its the same engine.

only difference I see on the pcb is the bottom left corner of the board, the caps are different. v1.0 has small purple caps while 1.1 has bigger, taller blue caps. I cannot see any difference beyond that

used the same ram with my ip35 pro, runs fine (I didn't oc tho)
