No, having it at a refresh of 30hz puts it at 1080i, not 1080p. Anywho, the problem has been resolved. I have adjusted the timings, and made a Macro key that just refreshes the desktop. So it all works out in the end. Thanks a lot for everybody's help.

Well, I can get it to play if I put the computer to sleep, and then resume, or wait till it goes to screensaver. And I can see a big difference to be honest. Especially when viewing movies and what not. What exactly is HDMI handshaking though?

Alright, now I got it to display in 1920x1080, but when I turn the TV off and then back on, I don't get a picture. I read in an earlier thread that it is because of an HDMI handshaking issue. Any idea on how to combat this?

I still say go with DLP, because even the best Sony XBR2 has problems with ghosting, lower contrast ratios. DLPs don't have screen door effect and cost/size/performance they are the best imo.
