Hi, So i am setting up a test bench and I am looking for a wireless router/AP that is capable of doing two things. (or hey, two units each capable of one of them would be fine too) First it must be configurable to force the use of the DFS required channels (52-64 and 100-140) that is, id...

    rivets or screws?

depends, in some places screws/nuts are fine. In areas where you need a flush face, screws/nuts wont work as they stand off the face of the metal a good bit on both sides.

Building an acrylic case, need some help

if you use a tap, it will thread the hole, just make sure you use the right size for the stand offs you have and you wont need glue, they will just screw right in.

Building an acrylic case, need some help

1x1xwhatever: http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=150& no idea on the aluminum, could always get acrylic for that too. you can tap the .22' sheet yourself to add the stand offs, a small tap isnt expensive.

    Project: Iced Cube

what you are lookng for is Weld-On. Weld-On 3 has the consistancy of water, it is great for joining 2 pieces with no gaps, dries pretty fast and will seep into joins. weld-on 16 has the consistancy of maple syrup, dries much slower but if there is a slight gap (very slight) the weldon16...

My first case mod - The Cube

Either way will work fine, but you will need a second 120 mm fan somewere to exhaust the hot air or you will end up with high pressure inside your case and then no air will flow in at all. Based on that,. i like the idea of top intake and rear vent, but thats just me. Also, keep in mind that...

Any companies that can fabricate custom acrylic pieces? (custom fan duct wanted)

I honestly think something like this would not be very hard to make with a dremel, some files and a heat gun... you could use super thin acylic to make it even easier... even 1/8 inch acrylic is thicker then this needs to be. The only trouble i could forsee is makign sure everything is flush...

Since the tank wont be very high, you can use extruded plexi, which cost much less then cast. If you are going to try the cuts yourself, then the best way is to find a plastics dealer in the area and buy scrap (SUPER cheap)... but barring that (there arnt any around where i live so im sol)...

    cheap plexiglass store.

the idea behind the pin method isnt to prevent those things, its to allow you to spread the weldon over the entire area of the joint when using larger joints. If your plexi is only 1/8 of an inch thick then capilary (spelling?) action will be sufficiant, but if you have thicker plexi then the...

    cheap plexiglass store.

plexi sands very easily, this is related to how easy it is to scratch. The easiest way to get a perfect 45 degree angle is with a bench sander, but in lui of one of those, some heavy duty files and coarse grit sand paper on a block should do. Is there any reason you choose to make 45 degree...
