Hi Guys,
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC GAMING ACX 2.0+
P/N: 04G-P4-3975-KR
I recently ordered this from Newegg not realizing that it won't fit the EKWB 970 ACX water block until it had already shipped.
And thanks to Newegg's wonderful "replace only" policy I have to sell it instead.
Figured I...
Is upgrading to this from a Vertex 4 worth it?
Windows is pretty fast now and I would be disappointed if this didn't really make a real world difference after spending a bit of money on it.
I am not really a "hardcore gamer" but I have played TF2 and the latest Bioshock on it.
I didn't notice input lag that would bother me. But again, I am not hardcore so....
Semi glossy?
It is not at all, it has the look of a matte screen but with a very light AG that is not noticeable what so ever.
Since the NEC is on backorder, I would order this and see how it plays..if you don't like it you can always return the Asus and maybe the NEC will be back in stock.
It is about the same, like with all IPS panels it is definitely there but it does not bother me.
This monitor is a tremendous value for those who don't need display port or a high quality stand.
Monitor is absolutely gorgeous...
So clear and the colors really pop.
1920x1200 can't be beat...what a difference.
The AG coating is very very light. No graininess what so ever.
Super psyched! Stepped up from a Dell S2409W.
The photo really does not do it justice.
I just picked this up on Amazon.
From everything I read the image quality is top notch.
IPS
1920x1200
HDMI input
non-gloss
Can't believe the price if this holds up to the reviews so far.
I used a a Noctua NF-P14 FLX 140mm
Actually comes with 120mm holes and little adaptors for 140mm.
You can see it in my pic here.

Ok so moment of truth...
Installed a Corsair H60 in a exhaust setup not intake..
I can live with these temps in this case after 15 min of Prime! And this was after just installing it.
What a cooler...I guess the trick was to get all the heat from the CPU away from that motherboard...
Agreed, but those low cost solutions do not look like they can be reversed which is really what I want. Blowing hot air out the bottom I don't think will do anything.
I was thinking of getting this since I don't have a VGA card.

Reverse the fan so it brings in cool air and blows it to the top corner where there is a...
I have the PS oriented so it does not steal air. The fan is on the opposite side of where the CPU is.
Like I said before, I ran at load with the panel that the motherboard is screwed to removed from the case and out in the open air and the temps never cracked 58 degrees. So the case is the...
Problem is that the only spot to put a fan would then be blowing the hot air from the rad back into the case.
And that fan slot is 140 so then I will have to buy a adapter....ugh!
This case really needs a fan at the bottom pushing air up.
I think I may have to invest in a better heatsink.
I might just get the Corsair H60 or 80i, both are on amazon for $65 and $90 respectfully.
I think the issue is the case getting hot because when I remove the side panel that holds the motherboard and let the motherboard breathe while...
Hey guys,
This makes sense but I figured I would ask.
When gaming with the CPU, I have played older titles it can handle @ 1080p.
However the temp of my CPU reaches 70 degrees. (I have a Lian Li Q11 ITX Case)
When I scaled down the rez to 720p the temps dropped to 63 degrees at...
Annoying that you can not use coolers that needs a backplate on the ASROCK A85X
I am pretty much forced to use the Arctic 64 Plus, which I just ordered.
The stock cooler is way too loud at load.
Amazon has them, through Phantom PC's.
Have one on the way!
