On a Windows 2003 domain, what could possibly allow a normal domain user to view the AD structure? As a normal user i'm able to install the admin tools and view the layout of AD (users, groups, etc) which is a bit concerning.
How hot is too hot? I have my E8400 with the stock HSF running at 3.6 ghz (9x400). Coretemp with Prime95 Blend test (1800 Ram specified) is hovering around 58-61C. It hasn't failed in an hour so far.

I hooked everything up and just wanted to power it up for a quick test. When I turn on the power I hear a loud ringing noise, and the CPU fan won't power up. What have I done?
I've replaced the motherboard and powersupply so far. I've used HDTUNE and chkdsk on both harddrives in the system, I've ran Prime95 for 48 hours, memtest86 for an hour, and no errors at all. However during normal usage the computer randomly reboots. I can't reproduce the issue, however when...
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Everytime I try to open a specific document that was created in Word 2003, with Word 2007, it hangs and the process grows and grows to the point of utilizing over a gig in memory. If I check the eventviewer I just see an officelifeboathang error...
Typically if you are logged on to the domain with a domain computer and you set up an appointment you have to specify the conference room in question as a resource.
However if I use Outlook Web Access to set up an appointment, specifying the conference room as a resource, it doesn't work. I...
Okay so i'm creating an office layout page. I've inserted an image I created in Visio in to a blank page in FP. How do I go about determing the coordinates of specific areas of the image? Any ideas?
For the first time last night my new system rebooted while my girlfriend was playing Condemned.

I'm trying to install a 2nd 80GB harddrive to a Dell. I've successfully gotten the BIOS to recognize the primary master as an 80GB drive (the original one which contains the install of xp) and the primary slave as the 2nd 80GB I added. However when I boot the machine, it posts, and right...
What are some settings to look for in the BIOS that could cause my system to not post sometimes (powerr off/on usually fixes it) and memtest to fail. It's an X2 3800+, m2n-sli deluxe motherboard, cosrair xms2 ddr2-800 1gb. I have the ht link set to 4x, multi to 10x, the speed to 230 mhz, which...

I just built an 3800+ and M2n-SLI deluxe system. Everything seems to work fine so far. I can get it to post, access the BIOS, etc. However when I run the Windows setup and it gets to the point where I can install/repair Windows, my keyboard/mouse lose power. I've tried a PS2 adaptor on the...

What are the chances of both sticks of RAM (Kingston PC3200, only 4-5 months old) being bad? My computer has been rebooting randomly lately (especially when you play a game, or something that stresses the CPU). I checked the temps and they were at 130F idle so I hooked up another fan and flipped...
