I hate the way digital throttles respond compared to a mechanical system. The throttle responses from my 75 Camaro or even my 01 (!) Dakota are butter compared to my 07 Charge. But there are aftermarket systems...
As for this who Toyota issue. I have yet to understand why any American would...
I have yet to understand the phrase "Limited Edition" in the hardware world. 99% of the time, hardware is not collectible. Someone builds a [H]ard system with this drive and, most likely, that drive will be in the closet in less than two years. Limited edition. Because people are scrambling for...
Very creative. That type of punishment would curb me away from P2P. ET for a week straight would be interesting though it would probably end in my brains being blown out.
You should probably sit on the floor anyway if you spent that much money on a chair and felt the need to gloat about it here.
Anyway, I'm surprised at the lack of things that are W7 Certified. It seemed that everything was "Vista Certified." Eh, what a joke.
Au contrare! Scientists are terrible at wasting grant money. A good grant waster would have written off $300 for a new toilet seat of $150 for a new pencil sharpener that was deemed "necessary" to the project. These scientists waste their grant money working!!!
I don't know. I think Lucid was eager to get something out there. They got something out there that offers no benefit over traditional SLI but they have their foot in the door. I'm excited for future development. They did promise us near perfect scaling, did they not?
I am off topic and have spurred an off-topic discussion. Now back on track.
What will bullet physics do for gaming? This AMD guy seems pretty adamant about it.
Did they work on that demo for 5 minutes? Crysis running at 80+ FPS on enthusiast would be most impressive, but instead we get stuff ala 1998. Unless they can do things ala 1998 correctly (ie a very impressive video rendered with one of these cards), I don't see why they even wasted their time.
And it's not in multiple cards. No matter what, the number of single card solutions will trump the number of dual card solutions. Until scaling gets better, you won't have a large number of the demographic using dual card setups. Many on [H] seem to forget that this forum represents a very small...
I fully understand how tax brackets work. I should have worded my post differently, I should have said that there is less incentive to do better; not "no incentive".
I still don't believe that you should be fined on what your ability to pay is. It may lead to even more of a social rift...
I completely understand what Nvidia's workstation solutions are for. As for the 5970 being faster, I'm not quite sure. AMD can say whatever they want. Are there results from an independent source?
Where is the incentive to do better then? If I know that by expanding my business I put myself into the next tax/fine bracket, why would I? This and other reasons severely restricts expansion and such of American business. It's one of the reasons why the US is in economic turmoil.
Jeremyshaw worded it is "graphics card." Not gaming card, or workstation card. Watch your mouth.
Regarding the Tesla. Oops, always seem to forget that new line, but I'll bunch it in with the Quadro. I should have said that Nvidia holds the title with their cards.
100% agree. Even though she should have looked a bit more black in the unmodded version, she looks completely white here. The mod turned her into something else. She was supposed to be a friend and partner, not a sexual icon.
