It's almost as if this is their first Nintendo console release, because Nintendo never releases specific hardware information at things like this. Man it's so disappointing Nintendo didn't do what they never do!
Censorship should be left to the governments. If Germany has a problem with certain content, that's their problem. They should censor it. Websites which service the world shouldn't have to bend to governments for something which is that government's problem.
MSI Pros:
-Awesome build quality
-Great cooling
-I like MSI
Palit Pros:
-2GB VRAM for same price as MSI 1GB
I should mention that in a month or two I'll be upgrading to a 5760x1200 setup, so my initial thought is that more VRAM is the way to go. What do you think?
I hadn't even considered the parts arriving DOA. :( This is why I came to [H], because I knew I was going to make a hasty decision and do something wrong!
Thanks a ton for the PSU recommendation, I'll take a look at it and probably end up adding it to my cart. I guess having this new empty...
Thanks for the quick reply! I am aware of the state of the Sandy Bridge motherboards unfortunately, but in the meanwhile I'm going to buy all the components minus that. Your advice on the graphics card is much appreciated, and you're absolutely right. I'll just stick with the 460GTX until I get...
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
I will be using this to play RIFT, TOR, and some of the hotter games coming out this year. I'm not huge into FPS games but I love MMOs (sadly) and I will be playing a few others like Duke Nukem Forever and Skyrim...
I know some of you are trolling, but the CC is one of the largest charitable organizations in the world with shelters, kitchens, free hospitals, schools, and mental health facilities. While I am not catholic and don't pretend to know their financial reports, it's silly to say they are an...
Well, my experience is that it works very well. I've been using it to stream to my ipad since Friday when I got it. You literally download the app, install the program on your computer, add folders, and then on your iPad you select a movie from the server and start streaming. Awesome quality, no...
Air Video will stream movies from your PC, converting them to proper format as it streams. So basically you can stream any format. As for resolution, it will also convert any video higher than 720p down to 720p to be played.
And what's great is that you can stream all of the movies from another PC/Mac straight to your iPad over wifi or 3G via the AirVideo app. I got the 32GB model just in case, but with all the streaming this is capable of, its probably overkill.
How old is your MacBook? 2.5 hours sounds really bad. I used my MacBook constantly since August 2008 (until I got my iPad) and it still gets a good 5 hours to the battery or more if I turn the display down and don't do much.
Other than for games, I've pretty much completely switched to using my iPad for everything. I stream movies from my pc to it, browse the net, do email, write papers, read books, watch TV, stream netflix, do online homework, and a multitude of other things on it. Come Tuesday I will be taking...
I've had a hard-surface Alienware mousepad I got a long time ago with my first actual gaming PC ever, 8 years ago. The black stuff is finally starting to rub off, so what the hell... ordered an XT!
Is there something similar to adblock for Chrome? That's the major thing in the past that's kept me from switching, but if there's something like that now I'll give it another try.
