Hah! Are you for real. Try the 5.1 ultra hooked to an X-Fi Elite Pro with the EQ tuned. I love my audio and I can't agree with you there. You sound like a dumbass. Klipsch pretty much own for spending only 400$. Once I have like 8k lying around I'll pick up a Klipsch Reference series...
I have never noticed a problem like that. I have had lots of problems with the X-Fi, especially with the drivers. Currently I cannot access my EQ no matter what mode I put the device in. Guess i gotta reinstall the drivers. Anyway, I have Sennheiser HD595's and a Klipsch surround system - I...
I am having trouble with online gaming due to the lag spikes XP wireless zero config causes every minute. UT3 is especially a pain in the ass with this problem. So i can disable the WZC config and it fixes the problem - all would be good except my WRT54g will boot me off every now 20 minutes...
The Audigy SE is so terrible. I picked one up at Wal-Mart to hold me over until I scored an X-Fi because one of the motherboards onboard sound jacks were broken. I was expecting it to suck because it was only 30$ but it ended up being more terrible than I had expected. I suppose it would be...
Can't really say anything about that WD drive because I haven't used one but I did just get one of the Seagate drives you are talking about. So far I like it.
The way I see, the new tech isn't here because it's worse than the old way of doing things.
But I doubt you are going to notice...
Try using your brain here. Pause a movie at a part where there is some motion and the frame isn't going to be crystal clear. Take a frame from a game at any time and it will be.
If you have the cash I'd say buy an extra 400 gig right off the bat or use one of the 8 as a hot spare. I know it would suck to have one fail then by chance another one go out while you are getting the first messed up one RMAed.
Thanks for the replies so far. I just got concerned that maybe Plextor wasn't quality anymore because of the rebadges and other negative reviews (which were likely user error anyway.)
I don't mind spending the money but I don't like to be stupid with money. Just needed some reassurance.
I'm working on building a new computer and had originally planned to get a Plextor drive by default because back a few years ago I always heard they were the best. I was looking at the "Slot Load 16X DVD±R DVD Burner PX-716AL/SW" ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827131352...
I have one of those Audigy SEs because the jack for onboard sound is messed up. The sound card blows, it will stutter when I play music, especially when I try to run a game with winamp playing. I play the MP3s over the network. When I play an audio CD (digitial since I don't have the audio...
This would be a good review if I were trying to decide on which CPU I want to lease for a month. But lets see here I don't plan on swapping out my CPU as often as my video card so showing a bunch of benchmarks bottlenecked by the GPU is lame.
Spending 1000$ on a CPU I would hope it would max...
I just bought an XFX 7950GX2 and put it in my girlfriends E-Machine. It was giving me problems so I just jammed it in and it fit. Don't know what was making it difficult to put in but nothing broke and it works.
They seemed to have designed it well enough to fit into just about anything...
The Bose are cool if you don't mind paying too much for what they are and repairing them with electrical tape when they fall apart.
I have a pair of the HD595's and can recommend those for sure. I was using a friends pair of triports and thought they sounded good until i got the 595's. I...
Viewsonic makes a 21" CRT that is sweet. Just got mine in a few weeks ago.

I paid 450$ for it or you can get the old version G220FB for 350$ or so.
New version is nice because it can do 85hz at 2048x (the...
The screw hole for the bracket is on the bottom of the speaker. I'm not sure it'd be so easy to use them with normal speaker mounts and I'm not sure as the the size of the screw. I just use the brackets from Klipsch and angled them when I mounted so I could aim them down and to the center of...
The Klipsch are badass but are not for the sonically retarded.
The Logitechs are pretty sweet, not as good, but they may be better for some people.
I'm on my fourth set of Klipsch speakers now.
Blew up my old Promedia 4.1 about 5 years ago (after owning it and abusing it for 2) when I was...
