How do you like those Solo 6 BE speakers jamiee? I've got some AirMotiv6 at the moment and I think I'm doing a set of DIY speakers/amps for my HT and 2nd projector but I've been looking at picking up those with a Benchmark DAC1/DAC2 for audio on my desktop.
Definitely gotta second this, I've used EK, XSPC and Heatkiller blocks on my 7970s and I definitely like the heatkiller block better.
Sorta threadjackingly related: Does 51º-54ºC loaded on a OC'ed 7970 (heatkiller) w/ 3820 OCed on a 360 mm rad seem too hot?
If it is, that makes me happy, as it means I can possibly just grab another 7970 rather than selling my current and hoping to Titan/680 SLi (I've had some major issues finding a reference card lately)
That's not too bad, of course with FC block it'll be another $200 or so. I'm actually planning to do damn near the same thing as you. I'm looking forward to trying LightBoost (this really is the thing that pulled me over to NV from just adding another 7970)
I'll probably grab the EVGA just...
I have no idea, plus you'd think with their mechanical gaming keyboard out they'd refresh the G19 with Cherry MX switches and just make the ultimate high end board. At least make it worth while if you're making a $200 keyboard.
I'd assume the battery life is the same, but if they've made...
I agree that the Audio Technica M50s are WAY over recommended and are over rated, though I think that's due to people coming from stuff like normal iPhone headphones, Beats or SkullCandy where the M50s are pretty big step up.
I however quite like the K/Q7xx like (Q701/K701/K702/K712)...
Gotta second this, it's damn impressive. I saw it on newegg looking for an mATX case with a window (If I buy a GTX Titan, I want to show it off :D ) and couldn't find a damn thing about it other than a couple threads like this on other tech websites.
I'll be interested in hearing what you have to say about the new XSPC Razor. I have the earlier 7970 FC block and ditched it for a Heatkiller and now it's pretty much just taking up space.
My VRM temps got seriously hot in my 800D w/ XSPC Razor 7970.
Honestly, you're probably good with that DAC if you don't see yourself upgrading for a while. Asus' sound cards are surprisingly good DACs. My friend just got the same setup as well and he loves it.
