I leave my desktop on for weeks at a time and I just got a new XPS m170 and just wondering if there are any bad side effects for leaving a laptop on for long periods of time, say 2 or 3 days without turning it off?
I am mainly just downloading things which is the reason it would be on...

And when I download the drivers from the nvidia website and try to install them it says that my hardware doesn't match and cancels the install. What gives?
