i too, just returned my nec monitor and got this lg i love it so far, i am using a dvi cable from my 7800gt and it's running beautiful. i noticed with the dvi cable the colours were a bit more full then vga but i am not a professional in lcd's or anything not sure how to test for...

with my nec monitor i have now 1940.. awesome good colours etc etc. no dead pixels.. but how can u dead for banding? i see people talk about it but i have no idea what it is.
