never heard of visiontek ! they've been around for a long time. Anyways, lifetime warranty with the visiontek... so i say go with them.

Well, i start folding as a project but now i'm in it for the points... that said I think the more machines folding the better it is for the project.

VisionTek's 4550 is passive single slot (including heatsink)... based on what i've read it doesn't need any aggressive cooling either.

The heatsink on that card looks like it would take up two slots, I know the VisionTek 4550 is a true single slot (including heatsink) passive cooled. But to answer your question this card CAN do dual VGA, you just need another DVI-VGA adapter.

The card will operate up to 104C with no problem, at 105C thermal overload takes over at shuts the card down. At that moment you can look at the card and you should see the temp LED on. Keep it might that they've said 110 is the limit.

all of the initial 4870/50 were built by ati. So they SHOULD look the same.

Visiontek is based in the US and after having to do RMA's with Sapphire and MSI... i'm going to stick with visiontek.
