Not sure if it's the same problem that bothers you, but my one also appears fuzzy. I blame it on the anti-reflective coating - it's so thick I can't focus on the screen properly, and it makes pure colours very unpleasant (and unpure)

They are starting to look better though. I'm going to give one of these 2007s a try.
Not entirely true. The quality of the backlighting varies greatly between monitors. I wouldn't describe a fluorescent-lit image as solid or non-flickery, though some LCDs are really pretty good. The bad ones though, are definitely inferior to a 85Hz CRT. No doubt about that.
