I concur! I went from 8800GT to the X2. At first I just did a driver wipe, and reinstall. I was not impressed, and even had some trouble installing the ATI drivers (INF error). I reinstalled with the new card in there, and now it is perfect. My 3dmark06 score went up 3500 points after...

Same thing happened to me in vista. It totally trashed the driver and I could not even get display in safe mode. I am glad these are out now!

I am using the sata plextor and it works perfect.

It is the best monitor I have ever seen. It was totally worth the premium. Once you go NEC you never go back.

I think you have answered your own question. DDR21000 is obviously going to be faster than DDR2800

Just under 1.5 should give you at least 3.2ghz. If you have to put it that high for 2.6 you are in trouble.

You might want to wait for the ATi RD600 boards. Hopefully they will be out next week. I can tell you for sure 975x and 6300 is not a good combo. For some reason they cannot get as high FSB. With a P5W DH I topped out at 2.8 and with the DS3 I am at 3.2 so far.

I have never cleaned a oem cpu and have never had a problem.

If you are going 6300, you should get a DS3 for sure.

Also, try removing your sound card. I had awful trouble with the x-fi. It would cause major hangs and sometimes stop windows from booting. Its worth a shot. I had the music version as well.

I would recommend the sycthe ninja or infinity. Great cooler and good mounting and price.
