Just a note for anyone on the fence about this monitor...
I have gone from a FW900 to a V2400W and now the U2414H. For the money it's really an excellent monitor for office work and gaming. Colors are excellent and the contrast is above average IMO. I am also using it for my 360 and it's...
Hi,
I have been working on a computer build for a friend. My problem is that once turned on I can get nothing (bios or whatever) to show up on the screen. I have already RMA'd the mobo EP45DS3L and have a new one and same result. I have tried 2 different video cards as well as DVI and DVI...
Well after a bit of digging I think I may go with 2x WD6401AALS .... the 6400AAKS has great reviews and this appears to be the same drive with the added cache. The price is also very good.
I think i'll stick with Raid0 and keep backing up. Fiance does a lot of Photoshop and some video...
Hi all,
It appears my Raid 0 failed this morning. On first boot up it woulden't recognize one of the drives and on other boot ups it recognizes the drives but one of them says "Non-Raid disk" ... I don't think theres anything I can do?
First of all... these were both identical...
The G2400WD uses the same panel as the V2400W so input lag should be the same.
Im very interested in the 120hz Viewsonic model but I have heard mixed things on if it's really going to be true 120hz though. If it comes out and is a true 120hz panel with low input lag I will be a buyer...
I don't use the AMA on the V2400w except for 30fps games (like Halo3) .... the AMA on the BenQ uses BFI which if what I have read is correct means the actual FPS is limited to 30fps as the 60hz monitor inserts a black frame after every real frame. The AMA does speed up the response time IMO...
Would that mean real response time on many monitors is really 20-30ms? Woulden't you have to add that 20-30ms of response time lag to input lag to get a real lag delay time? For instance I have the V2400w and most say the "input lag" from tests is in the 10-20ms range but I found a site...
If you don't mind dropping down to 22" and wide gamut I would look at the LG L227WTGPF
It gets a lot of attention on another LCD forum I follow as a gaming monitor. It also was reported to have near 0ms input lag at Prad.de .... what's interesting though is digital versus reported the same...
I use a 42" Westinghouse as my primary PC monitor. I sit about 4-5 feet back. I have had this monitor LVM-42W2 for a couple years now. It does have a bit more input lag (around 30-40ms) than my V2400W which is why I use that for gaming (FPS and sports)
Oct 17th on Sprint here I have heard... im waiting on it and am likely going to get it when it comes out. VGA screen!!! Also more ram than the diamond which is a big deal with PDA's
The 1200 is up and running!!! :D
It was a pleasure to work with and houses my GTX260 just fine with room to spare. Very good cooling in this case and it's not bad looking to boot.
::cool::cool::cool:
I went ahead and ordered the 1200 today. It seems to get great reviews from everyone and I figure if in the future it doesn't hold the cards I can always sell it sense it's such a popular case. Thanks!!
Two years?
I would say go quad then with the Q9550. The prices on the E8500 are still lower than the Q9550 but looking two years out I would say get the quad.
I don't know?
I was shocked at the difference between my 2 year old 7900gtx and my new 260. Im not even using my 260 right now because it won't fit into my current lian-li case. They are so long now but I have no idea if they have plans to make them longer.
Im all set on buying this case but am concerned about the depth for my GTX260 and future cards...
I know my GTX 260 will fit but for anyone with this case and a 260 or 280 how much space in inches does it leave for future cards that may be longer? I would really like to keep this case for a...
Hi all,
I have an old Lian-LI PC-65B right now... I just swapped out my old mobo yesterday and switched to a new PK5 PRO for my Q9550 and my GTX 260 will not fit now... it's blocked by the HDD cage. I have 2 HDD's setup in raid in there and no place to move them. The GTX260 barely fit...
It looks great. The offcenter base is a little odd but the glossy panel itself looks fantastic. I would still spend the extra $50 over the G2400WD for this panel due to the better looks IMO.
I have it... I don't notice any ghosting but no LCD has absolutely "0" ghosting but it's the best I have seen from an LCD.
It's rated at 5ms or 2ms with overdrive. Personally, I don't use the overdrive as I can tell it adds a tiny bit of input lag and I notice no ghosting with the default...
Im in the process of upgrading my whole rig. I have been out of the game the last couple years so I decided to forget Nehalem for now and let the prices settle and I just bought a new mobo/ram/Q9550/GTX260. I'll probably upgrade sometime later next year when the prices settle down.
Input lag and response time have basically nothing to do with eachother. I have the V2400W and can recommend it. It's around 1 frame of lag or slightly less and is visually pleasing.
Do I even need to worry about doing anything to my current XP until I switch MB? After I switch the MB does my new BIOS have settings to format my existing files/install and then fresh install XP or what? Obviously the stuff would still be on the hard drive/drives..
No.... was just trying to upgrade the XP to Vista..
If I wait for the mobo switch I will be wanting to just do a clean install of XP so I can use the Vista upgrade cd to do a fresh install of Vista
Hi all,
Im currently running XP 32-bit home premium. I bought the 32-bit Vista home premium "upgrade" and tried to install last night and it was fine until the end when it starts the Windows scrolling screen it immedietely flashes a blue screen and restarts. I looked up the code (lost it...
Hi,
I just installed the EVGA SC GTX 260 last night...
Right away with NVIDIA scaling enabled (I greatly prefer to use this vs the LCD scaling) at anything higher than 1024x768 (they dont show up at 1024 or 800x600) I get artifacts around text in windows. Sometimes it's like little blue...

I just bought one of these cards and am getting ready to install today. Is something wrong with the cards??
