Hi Raja,
I went into the UEFI and set all of the overclock related stuff to defaults and then did a Save and Exit.
All I did in AI Suite was try the one-click overclocking using the four-way optimization. So, I believe AI Suite did things behind the scenes and I didn't know what it did so...
Can someone help an idiot? I was messing with the AI Suite 3 on my MVI Hero and picked one of the CPU presets (4.2 GHz). I'm having some stability issues in Windows 8 now (odd since temps are more than fine) and want to return to stock.
I set everything in the UEFI back to stock but AI Suite 3...
My Amazon order for the Hero was placed on 6/2. They sent me an email last night saying they had talked to Asus and expect to get stock sometime between 6/28 and 7/9.
Asus support said they were told that the first shipment of Hero and Maximus VI Extreme boards have an ETA of 6/17. They also...
Amazon notified with an anticipated ship date between 6/28 and 7/9 for my Maximus VI Hero. I'm so bummed! Shame on me for ordering everything else for my Haswell build already, I may not get to try it out until after the 30 day return window has passed.
Ordered my Maximus VI Hero from Amazon on Sunday. Order status still says they don't know when it will ship.
I talked to Asus pre-sales about getting an english version of the manual (no dice) and also asked if they knew when the Hero should arrive in the US. He said the latest emails they...
I've been using Corsair RAM exclusively in my systems for nearly 5 years. Corsair RAM kicks ass because they are like a best friend: rock solid and completely dependable.
Ah, I have not noticed the gradient issue. Issues #2 & #3 are the ones I was referring to, and I'd say they are the same...a result of the PVA technology.
Which weakness is that?
I'm "evaluating" the Gateway right now, my only complaint is how it seems to crush dark details when looking head on. Seems that is intrinsic to the panel type though.
Is this directed at me? All I am doing is relaying my experience. I think the pictures I posted explain a lot. I've had four 2005FPWs shipped to me and the one pictured is the best one so far. If I had one like yours I'd be overjoyed, I can't see any bleed at all in that picture.
You know, maybe we are too dramatic.
A quick comparison of the Dell 2005FPW and the Gateway FPD2185W. Both have bleed, there is no perfect display. However, I find the bleed on the Gateway to be more than acceptable.
I've had four 2005FPWs so far. All have had bad backlight. In another post someone said the complainers like myself were just being babies...if that is the case, then a perfect 2005FPW does not exist. Dell is sending me my fifth later this week.
It does get worse the longer the monitor is...
Looks like I'm stuck with a 2005FPW...Dell won't process the return and refund my money. Last time I said I wanted to return all the monitors and get a refund, they insisted on sending a replacement. New one still has terrible bleeding problems, but now that I'm outside of the 21 days they won't...
There is a section in the Nvidia Settings menu called "Digital Flat Panel Settings" which allows you to determine how images with lower resolution are to be displayed. Similar to the post regarding ATI above, you'll want to select "Centered Output".
I played Myth II: Soulblighter last night...
I have been using the Dell Chat to deal with customer service. I still have to figure it will take at least an hour to get anything taken care of with them. I'm really looking forward to Monday when I have to get shipping numbers to return all three of these things. They also insist on doing the...
I'm trying to find the link. Basically it involved opening up the casing and applying electrical tape around the entire edge of the screen. I read it on a forum after searching a few hours about the 2005FPW and backlight issues.
EDIT: Here is the link...it was a French forum, not Italian, my...
I have four of these sitting in my apartment right now, all replacements. ALL have horrible backlight problems. If I only used this for office use I could care less, but if you play games it will likely annoy you. Longer the monitor is on, the worse it gets. It doesn't look too bad when you pull...
