Thanks for the input, that sounds like quite a nuisance. I wonder if it has improved at all. Using a controller is an option, I typically hate controllers but I played Morrowind to completion on a controller back in the day, so it might be nostalgic if nothing else lol.

Apologies if this has been discussed already, but has anyone tried the WASD mod? The only thing keeping me from playing is the point to click gameplay. If the WASD mod is well done, I might actually consider picking this up.

Checking the thermal paste contact couldn't hurt! You'll either re-mount it the same for equivalent results, or find room for improvement. I just checked mine again and the baseline idle is 37, and gaming for an hour on bf2042 only raised the temps to a ceiling of 73

EK Nucleus 360CR AIO Idle is around 40 with full load load reaching low - mid 80s. I have a fairly un-aggressive fan curve set with a very low idle speed, so the idle temp could be lower.
