I brought this up in the big thread on the vx2025 but no one responded and kept saying "No there is no backlight bleed that is how it is suppose to look, just move your head around and it goes away!" I ended up returning the monitor because it bugged me way too much.
That is probably true of the early adopters, but generally speaking the early adopters aren't the general public, but mostly hardcore !!!!!!s. Who will do anything to get their console of choice.
Yeah that would be a real pain. Especially when Grandma number 24958 looks at you like your a buffoon because she doesn't understand what you are talking about. bleh

Shows a mistake in the voice acting. I'm curious to know if anyone else has run in to any other instances of this. I guess there is a lot of dialogue in the game, but seriously now they should have caught this.
From the sounds of it, it looks like it might be harder to get a PS3 at launch than it was to get a xbox 360. It is going to be a fight for anyone that is trying to get one come November 17th.

I think the prices are okay considering what xbla games cost. I know I'd rather buy some of nintendo's classics over a few of the games I have played on xbla.
I think this would be awesome, and only hope Nintendo does too. I remember always hearing about the Japanese only games, and being bummed out when I couldn't play them. I'd gladly pay 5 bucks to get a chance to revisit them.
Here is a nice link that talks about if DVD9 does not have enough space for next gen games. Hopefully this will ease some people's worries about Microsofts choice. He makes a pretty persuasive arguement, but as with anything, take it with a grain of salt...
how is it not backlight bleeding? the backlight is bleeding through, which is confirmed by it not being their as the monitor lights up as the lights are not fully bright yet. If I move my point of view it is still there, it may not be as pronounced because when I change my point of view the...
This was the problem that caused me to return mine. I just wasn't up for spending the money on a screen that would continue to annoy me with the x-pattern backlight bleeding. The worst part, when the monitor is just turned on it toys with you by not having any bleeding. Then when after it has...
I actually just did this. You just tell them you don't want it anymore, and they will give you back what you back what you paid for it, minus a prorated amount for how long you've had the plan.
Have you called Microsoft to check on this? When I called them about when my warranty runs out, they had added on another month or so. Might as well give it a try and see what they say. Also, they let me buy their extended warranty even though I was past the deadline. If that is an option...
Here is a link to another forum where someone posted a list of a lot of free mmo's. He gives a little description and a rating for each game.

There are two conditions that must be met for me to pick up a PS3.
1.) It must over something different or above and beyond what I am already getting from the xbox 360.
2.) It has to drop in price to around 400 or maybe 450 for the "premium" version.
If they can make it work as well as they say, then I can only imagine how cool it would be. However, I really can't see that happening, and as someone said, not everyone will have it, taking away a lot of the incentive from game developers to actually use it. Who knows though, I'll definitely...
I believe HD-ready means that the tv is able to display hd programing, it just doesn't have a tuner include with the television to get over-the-air broadcasting, so you need to get stand alone tuner that will hook up to one of the HD inputs on your television. Also, anything that outputs HD...
This is only true if the studios decide to use ICT, which at present isn't the case for all of them. Maybe they will change their minds, but you can't say with 100% confidence that they will implement it as of right now.
I thought a bunch of the movie studios came out not supporting ICT, and that only one of the major studios was still backing it. Is that still the case?
It doesn't bother me too much because I don't really care about nor do I plan on using the systems as an hd player. Although, I will take the optomistic approach and still say both companies probably have a plan. Whether that is true or not I guess we will find out in a few years.
I can't imagine Sony and Microsoft would release their hd players without some way to allow for hd viewing once the copy protection is "switched on." If they don't have some sort of play then I feel sorry for everyone that decides to go ahead and buy them.
QFT. I used a crt for awhile when I first got my 360 and I still thought it looked great, and had fun playing the games. Buy it based on if you like the games and will have fun playing them, not on what television you have.
Awesome. I remember hearing you could download other users species into your game. I wonder if all the versions will play nicely with each other? Or at the very least if this will be a title that benefits from the whole Live Anywhere push by Microsoft.
Wow sounds pretty cool, but I can't help but wonder when sony is going to copy it. j/k
Seriously though I remember hearing about it and not giving it much thought. It can potentially be very cool, but as for it being the biggest innovation in console gaming, I'm not so sure about that. A...
IGN and Gamespot say it is coming out on the 360 as well as the PC and PS3. Here is a link to an E3 interview with Midway's CEO saying it will come out on the 360.

Although then here is an article where Mark...
I'm not sure if this has happened to other people, but when I got mine replaces, they gave me 6 more months on my warranty. I'm not complaining, because more time is great, but I found it odd when they told me.
