Ahh yes, I failed to remember you mentioned this product in your other post. Well this isn't so bad then :) I don't have the XBOX VGA adapter anyway, so if it's just a $60 expenditure, that definitely works.
I'm coming from using a friend's 56" Samsung DLP via Component, and the...
By no means did you make my life tougher...you provided valuable information which I appreciate! :) Unfortunately we don't have a Fry's here in Colorado...
What do you think about this for an alternative? Do you think this could help in any way?

Ouch...suddenly now I'm in a tough spot since SanityStream informed that the 360 looks like crap on the VX2025wm. Would anyone be able to post some pics, or is there anyone else that has tried this and can provide some additional input?
Are there any alternatives in the same price-range...

The Gateway that Sanitystream mentioned is approx $200 more...are there...
Howdy!
I'm looking for the best LCD Arm (that can clamp to edge of desk) under $100. I'm purchasing a Viewsonic VX2025wm and want full mobility and the ability to pivot screen to portrait.
Thanks!

Yeah I have a friend that also uses a 2405...the monitor that I will be getting doesn't have a component-in which is why I am skeptical and trying to be cautious about it. If the VGA cable will provide the same type of quality that the component does in the 2405 then I will be happy!
There's no issue with playing it at widescreen, and at 720p and 1080i, etc? Through VGA will I experience similar or better quality then the Samsung 56" HD DLP I'm used to playing on? (well, minus the size difference of course)
Howdy folks,
On the various widescreen monitors out there (preferably the VX2025wm from Viewsonic), is it feasible to get a Component-to-DVI converter to connect an XBOX 360? Does it run well, is quality lost?
I'm close to purchasing the Viewsonic but want to make sure this is something I...

I may have missed this in a previous post, but is it feasible to get a component-to-DVI converter and connect a 360 to it? Has anyone tried it?
If this works, I'm sold and will purchase immediately.
I'm looking for the best LCD monitor under $400.00, and this one has a white chassis that I dig, can be rotated, and has a 4ms response time.
Anyone have this monitor or have used one?
Any thoughts appreciated...

What do you all think about the 960BF? It says "4ms grey-to-grey".....quite frankly I don't know what that means. Is this an incredibly fast monitor? It's about $379 (50-60 bucks more than the 940B) but it's in my budget.
What is the sacrifice for "4ms grey-to-grey"?
...and now I'm...
Howdy folks,
I don't know a lick about displays just yet. I've been trying to educate myself on the terms for LCDs but am still kind of lost....
Regardless, I like Samsung as a display manufacturer (LCD monitors and DLP TVs, etc) and there are four choices I've narrowed down my monitor...
Windows Speaker settings are set to 5.1, and the AC97 control panel i set to 6 channel. I get surround sound with no problem in all other games just fine, so I don't believe that is the issue.
The two issues that occur:
With EAX on, every sound occurring on the map, whether or not I am in...
My previous motherboard was an Asus A8V Deluxe, with onboard AC'97 sound and EAX worked fine on it.
The audio drivers are the most up-to-date from Asus' site. I'm just not sure what the problem is.....
Howdy,
The sound from my onboard Realtek AC'97 fails miserably when EAX is turned on in BF2. The surround works but I lose elements like bullet-fire and the voiceovers (sound broken).
I didn't have a problem with the onboard sound found on a later model Asus AGP board.
Anyone else run...
Heya all,
The system listed in my sig is now complete and running, but I have some questions about benchmark scores:
3DMark05: 10,250
Aquamark 3: 79,250
The 3DMark05 seems right on the money from what I've read.
Now another poster stated that Aquamark relies heavily on CPU and...
Unfortunately, I had stability issues OCing the CPU passed 2.15ghz. I run at approx 40C idle and 53C at current OC when torture-testing. I've got (in my opinion) fantastic cooling in my case, with a Panaflo blowing directly onto the Zalman. Good ventilation in the Lian-Li. Not sure what the...
Howdy folks,
So the rig in my sig is officially complete, and I finally had the chance to Benchmark for the first time last night.
3DMark05: 10,250
Aquamark 3: 79,366
Now I *think* I'm in the right area with that 3DMark05 score, but that Aquamark 3 score appears to be approx 30,000...
Howdy,
Should I experience any issues between my ASUS A8N-SLI NF4SLI 939 and my ATI X1900XT that's coming in? Unfortunately I am kind of stuck with the board, hopefully it won't be a problem.
Thanks,

I don't know a thing about TV Tuners that can encode, but I think I want to grab one for my PC. My budget is $125 right now.
What would you recommend?
Thanks,

Well the good situation here is that I get to take back my current card with no restocking fee now, so literally I'm dropping a c-note more for the X1900XT, which I should have purchased in the first place.
Coffee you're absolutely right. Yes I was freaking out over 3DMark scores, haha, when...
You get the same scores I am getting but you have a 3000+ !!!
I decided to send back the 7800gtx and pick up an X1900XT :) Hopefully it's the right move.
Well the restocking is $68 and the difference in the cards is $100.
If my processor is fine where it's at and it won't hold back the X1900XT that much then I will be happy :)
Any other thoughts are greatly appreciated...

Howdy:
I recently purchased an EVGA 7800GTX 256 and wasn't happy with the performance. I've decided to eat the restocking fee and send it back for an X1900XT...making the difference (with the restocking fee) approx $168.00.
Will the increase that I see between the two cards be worth it...
I agree, but I didn't like the way it played Battlefield :) Maybe that is the true benchmark...I had troubles at 1280x1024 with full specs + AA. That shouldn't have been the case.
Should I experience a boost of that magnitude, even with a 3500+? I mean not "9800" caliber scores, but more like a 1400 point increase?
If in fact the scores I was getting sound dead on, how come I didn't see any increase after the OC?

Howdy,
So I finally got together the rig listed in my sig this weekend. Lets just say that I am deeply disappointed in the results.
With no OCing done except the factory CPU Core Clock OC on the video card of 470, I 3DMark05'd at ~7850.
I was told on HardForum and elsewhere that I...
Howdy folks!
Thanks for all of the responses! I think in my near future (when M2 comes out and price drop occurs), the Opteron 170/175 will be purchased.
I spent the entire weekend working on my system with a good buddy of mine, and came to a conclusion. The EVGA 7800GTX 256 sucks. With...
To get the heat up on my rig, I ran 3DM06 several times over an hour-and-a-half period. After doing so, I checked BIOS and got the following temps:
CPU: 56 C
MB: 37 C
Nothing is overclocked...isn't that a high CPU temp for 3500+?
