I dont really question the PSU, I just started an AIDA64 and every voltage is a flat line. The PSU so under loaded i doubt its an issue, and its 80 plus Platinum as well. I left out another thing i noticed, I did an IBT once and noticed after 10 minutes the clock speed dropped to 4.4, like the...
I tested both overclocked and not, with varying voltages. I ran for 2 years stable at 4.6/1.35 vcore, noticed this power off issue recently and tested between 1.35 and 1.4v fixed as well as equivalent offset values. Offset was not stable for some reason though; I also set the CPU back to stock...
I have a brand new EVGA 1000w spare, I can test this if need be.
That's worth a try, the machine is generally on 24/7 so maybe it's causing an issue.
I'm going to go down to one of the stores and see if they have any z170 boards in stock just in case, I can always pull the CPU and test it...

Hello, was just trying to play a game today and my PC power cycled itself in the middle of it. Checked, getting a bunch of WHEA-Logger event logs for various stuff. Mostly "Cache Consistancy" but I think that's just...
Here's some pics of it assembled, looking to make a modification to it here soon though. My GPU hits 70c under load, I'm going to dust it out though, and reverse the way the pump is hooked up for the CPU loop. Should I combine these loops into one big loop? I originally split them so the heat...
Yeah I originally thought a bios issue as well except for the stability part, the guy I sent it to was impatient too so he bricked his windows installation trying to boot it over and over again and so I had to redo it.
Side note, apparently the modular cables for an EVGA 850GQ and the 1000G+...
I have essentially done this, just not all at once. I did double check all of the fittings as well and it for sure isnt leaking, it's a kit that supports AM4 and it has a small enough volume of coolant that any loss would be noticeable. I did try not only different Corsair RAM but also my...
Hello, running into an odd issue with this machine, was wondering if anyone else has seen something similar. Here's the setup
1800x
ROG Strix x370F Gaming
16gb Corsair DDR4 (from Asus compatibility list)
Gigabyte GTX1080
EK 280 watercooling kit
EVGA 850w PSU
Samsung 960 Evo 256gb m.2

Small update: Parts should be in today, I dont know if i'm gonna bleed the GPU loop or not. If I can get away with just draining the radiator up front to do it I will, it should more or less fix the bleeding issue for the GPU setup, at least in theory. Might be able to do that Friday night.
Got the majority of the work done/everything mounted. First, got the radiators mounted. I should have moved the mouting holes for the square tubing a bit, the front holes both lined up with the fan brackets. Small oversight, but the way i'm going to do the holes it shouldnt be very visible...
Worked on the radiator brackets today. Got them cut, and sitting in the right place. The extra holes wont be visible, the radiators will sit directly on top of these with two sided tape between (could use weatherstripping but the tape will work fine for padding). The reason it took a few...
I'm pretty impressed by it, it's better put together than my PC65 is. The only thing i'd say is the amount of little things that hadnt been thought of yet when this case was made, Like the PSU holes only accounting for it being one way, and the way the case cables route and the managment holes...
Got the build officially started today
So first did some mockup of the front radiator setup. Found that the 5 1/4 bay adapters arent made to be right next to each other on a radiator. Decided the easiest way to make up for that was just to enlarge the screwholes on it slightly. This lets...
Took a bit of a break, ended up moving and some other stuff. Got back going on this though. Did some mockup of the GPU pump and CPU res. The GPU loop will use the end tank of the MCR-220QP mounted in the front 5.25 bays. Also was going to run a spare 120mm radiator in the front bottom 120...
Update: Radiators are in, reservoir is in for CPU loop. I wont need one for the GPU loop because the front radiator has one in the end tank. Also got the fan grilles and mounts for the front GPU radiator. I did some eyeball engineering last night and a 2x120 wont fit well at all in the top...
Great news, I got a new impeller for my other pump. I found a guy selling 24v D5 strongs on Ebay for 25 bucks a piece, so I bought one and sure enough, same impeller. Popped it in the old pump and it's good as new. I have the cart ready for the other parts, just gotta be responsible and sell...
That looks pretty awesome. The current plan is to put one of the 2x120's on top, one up front, and use Mountainmods drive bay grilles to locate the fans in the front. I need to do some measurements to make sure the top will have enough clearance. If not I may drop the top rad and just go with...
Found a better solution to the super expensive Lian Li bay covers that I think will be better by all accounts. Two of these in the front https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KJ0URVS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2E86L531YCVCW and whatever fan grilles I want. It also solves the...
Yeah I couldnt believe that someone used this for a server. Which I wouldnt really call a server, it was a C2Q with a raid card in it with desktop drives. Not enough for the SQL that was running on it. But it was clearly set in the server room and not touched, it's in such good shape.
I...
Alright, well i've been running a Coolermaster Centurion 590 for years, and it's served pretty well. Earlier this year I did some upgrades to my rig, and it has this setup in it:
i7 [email protected]
Gskill 16gb DDR4
MSI Z170A Gaming
MSI GTX1080
PC P&C Silencer 1200w
2x 240mm Radiators
Swiftech blocks...
Well as far as any program i've tried, the OC is stable. I think the game or something itself is unstable. It crashes my display driver a lot. From what i'm reading its Ghost's problem, because I can run any benchmark for any length of time and it's stable. I ran linpack for an hour and it...
Getting valley right now as well, thanks. Gonna make sure there are 0 errors in anything before I call it stable, the way that this game is. Its still not gonna eliminate all of the crashes, as I still got a crash stock after awhile due to bugs.
I wont argue with that, but with HBAO on it actually puts a decent load on my gpu. Their texture streaming method sucks though, if i put them up too high it thrashes my hard drive and becomes a stuttery mess. I'll add my rig to my signature, keep forgetting to do stuff like that.
I'll try...
So I've been having a ton of problems with CoD Ghosts crashing. I know some of the instability is related to the game, however I think that I narrowed part of it down to being my gpu, as i disabled the overclock completely and was able to play for much longer. I started testing in OCCT using...
Hey all, been out of the tweaking scene for a bit when it comes to OCing/benching and stuff, and i recently sat down and spent a few weeks tweaking my rig, which is the following:
Phenom II 955 BE C2 [email protected] 2.6ghz NB clock 1.5v vcore 1.25v NB
4gb Gskill ddr3 1600@7-8-7-24 1t 1.6v

Hey, long time no post. I had some power instability issues in my rig due to my psu having 4 12v rails, so I swapped over to a different psu to try to sort it out. Specs below:
Phenom II 945 BE
4gb Gskill DDR3 1600
MSI 790FX Gd70
Sapphire 6850 1gb
1tb caviar black
TT toughpower 850w...
yeah i used to think they were ok until i played mortal kombat on the xbox and realized how terrible the buttons are for any game that requires precision pressing. The ps2 controller rapes it in that category.
I am too, this is my case. It does have blue cathodes, but the flash drowns them out. The chevette heatercore is in the front, and i cut out all but one of the hard drive cages. Hmm you cant attach pics here, that sucks. Luckily i can host it
id say a shallow type of curve would be good, but dont put a computer under the table. Computers under tables are stupid, i mean we spend all this time modding our cases only to hide them under a desk? Na. Make sure its plenty big enough for the case to sit on the desk top where it belongs...
