FS: TP-Link, Linksys, Panasonic BT Speaker, Monster Headphones

Just coming in to say that the WRT32x router is a beast. Throw OpenWRT, DD-WRT, or Gargoyle on it and it becomes even more of a beast! Definitely a good pick for a router, if Wifi6 isn't a concern.

4070ti 800$ minimum...lol no thanks nvidia! My 3080 is lookin better and better everyday.

Yep, you’re no stranger to expensive hobbies! This GPU market is insane and I want to distance myself from nVidia over their current price practices. Thank goodness for competition, but maybe Intel’s next iteration will be competitive enough in the $400-$600 bracket.

FS: Linksys WRT32X BNIB Router $sold

Here's a bump for a great product at a great price! The WRT32x router is fantastic! I've been running one with Gargoyle on it for about a year now and couldn't be happier. Upgrading from an older WRT1900ac, the difference was apparent, and the 1900ac was no slouch.

Microsoft interested in buying Warner Bros. games division

I applaud you for being transparent on your stance and am a bit surprised to hear you say Nintendo is your preference. Not surprised in a demeaning way, just, well, I didn't really know who you favored, only who you did not. Yeah, well, maybe I wound up enjoying the discourse. I'm sorry...

GameIndustry.Biz Article "How Minecraft and Mojang taught Xbox how to buy studios"

I found this GameIndustry.Biz article to be very insightful with lots of great quotes from Microsoft's latest acquisitions to the Xbox Games Division portfolio. Here's but a few choice quotes, but I implore you to read the whole article, if this aspect of the video game industry fascinates you.

Microsoft interested in buying Warner Bros. games division

This is you, again, moving the goalpost. When a studio, IP, or team is purchased is absolutely irrelevant and some weird condition you've created to invalidate my counterpoints. I gave you an explicit quote from Moon Studios stating Microsoft owns the Ori IP. Again, simply put, it doesn't...

Ah, I was thinking in the context of the end user, not from a development standpoint. If nothing else, this is good advertisement for AMD's current state of affairs with their CPU offerings!

What Paste Application Method do You Use in 2020?

That's a damned near-perfect blob result! My most recent switch from MX-4 to Pk3 showed quite a lot of dry area around the corners from my MX-4 application. Clearly I didn't use enough paste the first time, but "rice-sized" is a bit smaller than "pea-sized" and, even then, "pea-sized" is a hard...

That is super shitty to straight-up deny a warranty claim over that. It is has been advised in the past by some electronics manufacturers to plug a device directly into the wall, but there's a lot of evidence that proves plugging into a surge protector is benign. Yours is the first I've heard...

'NBA 2K21' Will Cost $70 USD for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Is this the new normal?

My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked membership expires in October. That is going to be a sad day. I don't think the price increase will deter me from Day-1 releases. It's within my financial means to spend the extra $10. At face-value, I don't like the thought of paying more, but, knowing my...

Microsoft interested in buying Warner Bros. games division

You're wrong about Ori (see below) and Microsoft absolutely could have made Minecraft an Xbox/PC exclusive. They didn't and that doesn't fit within your argument, but it is a clear example that Microsoft is not as draconian as they have been in the past. You're not wrong about them being...

Microsoft interested in buying Warner Bros. games division

What a very odd thing to focus on. "Nixes" as a meaning for all the different distros of Unix/Linux that are out there. But does it really matter how many characters I'm typing? This sentence is sure misleading and it muddles up whatever point you're trying to make. And your assumption of...

    Diablo 4's Release Date...

Haha, I am glad I am not the only one that was puzzled by that. Diablo 3 has become a mainstay title for me this generation, pumping in hundreds of hours into it. It's in such a great spot, compared to when it launched, and the console ports are simply sublime. I do wish devs would stop this...

    AMD XT Round Up

Those results are unsurprising and in line with what AMD has touted for the XTs. There's surely a reason why AMD sought to release these chips, but I'm not exactly clear what that is.

Microsoft interested in buying Warner Bros. games division

Microsoft is focusing on services as the forefront of their new business models. Software as a service's revenue per user is a much more lucrative venture, so your post's scenario is about as realistic as a llamacorn becoming president.

Red Dead Redemption 2 shown running faster on Linux than Windows 10

Linux adoption isn't going to be driven by games being ported over to it; it's the business world that will dictate that. And, to be fair, there's lots of Linux/Unix servers out there in the world, but that's the backbone. End-user workplace adoption needs to become commonplace. Of my 15 years...

Microsoft interested in buying Warner Bros. games division

Microsoft's strategy is to bring games to both PC and their Xbox platform, so the bolded/italicized confuses me. I assume you mean the *Nixes with "alternative OS'", but the second implies they won't be coming out for PC. And, to be fair, the *Nixes do have game support, but the native library...

iPhone 12 Won't Include Charger Or EarPods In Box

If this meant a real tangible Yeah, I'm not too bothered by it. Not only do I have enough Apple chargers lying around, I also have tons of USB type-a ports on so many things that I can also use them. I'd like for the lack of these accessories to be reflected in the price of the device, but...

What Paste Application Method do You Use in 2020?

That is expensive. It's hard for me to justify the cost to even experiment, when I have 2 tubes of thermal paste (MX-4 and PK-3) that, together, cost less than the one pad. What were your results? This is a really good resource! I've always done the pea-sized blob in the middle. It's always...

Upgrade of 5930K X99 Asus Rampage - Xeon or 5960x make sense 4k gaming?

I am still floored at how these older CPUs fare in terms of gaming. I have a 3930k that I have little reason to upgrade, for now, as I game a 60fps and it has admirably served all games I've played well throughout its life.

Anyone dropping ebay Xeon® cpus in their x79 / x99's?

I'm still rocking an i7-3930k after all these years. That theory could partially explain the high prices. Yeah, nVidia is charging an arm and a leg because they can, but with ray-tracing they can at least flaunt cutting-edge graphics. I’m waiting for the prices to come down from the stratosphere. That theory could partially explain the high...
