Personally I would wait for Merom and Santa Rosa to come out before purchasing a laptop. However this is about a year away (for Santa Rosa that is, merom should be out in Sept?). So I guess if you really need one now then get the Dell. If not wait it out a year and it will ship with Vista.

idle stressed cpuz ambient temps right now are 60F. sorry dont know how to do the fancy picture things. EDIT: fixing pictures

I am using the Big Typhoon with my opty 170 (CCBWE 0530 :p ) Right now its idling at 23-24 degree C. Max temp on both cores during stressing was like 40ish (38-42). This is overclocked at 2.8 with 1.44v. Hope this helps.
