Unless that 'special' BIOS you've got is going to be released for everyone to use then why would Foxconn issue a BIOS with extra timmings or whatever to a customer, that hasn't been probably thoroughly tested and would kill your motherboard at a slight mistake?
I'm not calling names on anyone but by the sound of it, I have a hard time believing that. I mean, I e-mailed NVidia and asked them to tighten the timmings for my 7900GTX ROM, and they did! You can really see the difference in benchmarks and stuff! I can't share it though...
1)They aren't hosted on [H]ard|OCP server(s)
2)[H]ard|OCP is not responsible nor has ownership of his post
3)He posted an article not the whole magazine
4)They could have been uploaded anywhere, and anyone could post this from a ghost account purposefully, so shortly: power of the internet...
ROFLMAO :D
chrisf6969, the only ones I see gaining from this is enthusiasts which make a very, very, low share on the big side of things (like 4% or less) and ATI from their spread of the chipset. Do you think Joe 'Blow' Sixpacks who just got his paycheck cares about the 'independent memory...
I call BS. Humans generally see easier when it's horizontally aligned, so seeing as this is a 98% all geek male forum then yeah, I think you already know the answer.
Oh and *ducking* and focusing on one object at a time is more like behavioural DEGRADING from addiction, game immersion and too...
I've seen this today on [H]FP, and daaaaaaaamn...
for those that have missed out and haven't seen it, here are *some* the specs:
-Intel® CoreTM Duo Processor T2400/T2500/T2600
-Up to 4GB of Dual Channel DDR2 memory
-20.1" Widescreen WSXGA+ (1680x1050)
-256MB ATI® MobilityTM RADEONTM...
Instead of reading the article to check whether his claim was true or not, you chose not to and continued on to trolling Opterons, which I might ask you, what does it have to do with anything?
Here it is:
/comes out of the closet
the reason why 3dfx failed was because they had all of their efforts put into advertising and selling/spending instead of their virtually non-existant R&D department. Insiders told that even in their last days, just 30,000$ were spent on lunch alone, and that was for...
what relationship?
ATI has released much more integrated graphics for AMD boards. And almost every AMD laptop you buy, you're almost sure to get ATI graphics with it.
Well I think the forum title is pretty self-explanatory. They're smaller than regular tower cases and more compact. Silence is optional, but usually it's there. All you'll need, I think, is:
1.SFF Case
2.mATX motherboard
3.SFF PSU for the case (sometimes comes with them)
Oh and also...
please cut the 'n00b' bullshit and don't try to be an elitist snob. Post count != intelligence factor, infact I'd say it's opposite for you, given the attitude
here?
same site that uzor provided... just have to search around abit :)
Also, is there any benefit to running one of those converter cards? Except for the added benefit of slim SATA cables, is the performance increase in bandwidth speed noticeable? Or does it boil down to drive...
no one said they were going to be s754, just pure speculation.
waiting for benchmarks on these new mobiles. Anyone got any idea what kind of board you would need for this? I know it's S1 but saw no spy pics whatsoever
Well, I like the fact that on a laptop the drive feels more 'flexible' when working with. And two drives (one DVD, another CD-RW) stacked upon each other make it annoying sometimes. And I really don't like to wait and hear the arch open and close. I'd rather have it spring/open like on a laptop...

Off-topic, but how did that guy set up that windows theme? I know it's supposed to be a more simplified classic, but I've never been able to get it that way.
Ok, I've been thinking of doing this for a while but I don't know where to start/what to get. I want to make the DVD/CD drive to open without the automated arch that pulls out/in the drive.
I want to be able to close the drive without pressing the eject button, and if I try to do this on a...
I'll second the source request :) Or maybe you know something we don't.... or are from somewhere where our eyes deny to believe the green vortex of cpus floating above the Fab, that is AMD themselves :p
I'm bent on thinking that the AGEIA solution will gain the upper market, just because they have the stuff which is actually REAL and WORKING, whereas the others have just hot air marketing and half dreams into the future ;)
yeah, no kidding. I did a search for 'Intel dropping BTX' and was replaced with 'dropping ATX', so..
I'd like to see some mBTX cases aswell. Hell, any decent amount of BTX cases to choose from would be good enough.
I've disassembled my Logitech mouse for a beating and after clean-up and putting it back together it appears that I've lost that "tick" or "scrub" which is felt and heard every time I scroll up/down. This is driving me nuts, instead of focusing on work, I'm being careful not to accidentally...
I'd email ATI or your card vendor and ask them about this. Then try and find out what the three pins on the molex connector stand for and see if there is a logic explanation to the burnt smell :p
or just put 3DMark to run for around a day and forget about it ;)
Like it or not you're going to see performance increase (even if the claims point out small) either by the larger bandwidth and the two CPUs (X2 5000+, FX-62), aswell as 939 will become obsolete and increase in price.
Ofcourse if you know what you need, then go ahead and buy that FX-60, but...
AT said that they weren't allowed to look into the Device Manager nor take a look at the CPU with CPU-Z or the like..
Sure they might be breeding a killer but if it's going to be as good as they market it then why hide non-sense like that?
