Just curious, this thread isn't for flaming. Doesn't [H] get free bandwidth from The Planet in exchange for advertisements?
I've just seen a lot of people posting recently saying that "[H] needs to pay for bandwidth, yadda, yadda, yadda" as an explanation for the ads, though I've seen Kyle's...
Not really a deal, but I figured I would post it here anyways. If anyone objects, just report the post and a mod will probably move it, no worries.
Anyhow, I always like to browse by price, and it's real easy on newegg.com. Monarch, on the other hand, doesn't have anything of the sort. So...

Alrighty, if you find a board available somewhere, link us to it! I'd like to build a list of cheap boards for the stingy (such as myself). But, the second post in this thread also lists mid-range and high-end boards.
As you add to the thread, I'll update the list in the main posts. Also, if...
I was wondering if anyone knew if it's possible, at all, to get a Scythe Ninja to fit on an Athlon 1200 Socket A. I've got some parts around, so I want to build something very silent. Any thoughts?
If not, should I just grab a 60mm to 80mm fan adaptor and slap on a quiet 80mm fan? Gotta keep...
I need a 120mm fan with a sound level UNDER 25dBA. I'll need the specs, so let me know how much CFM and what brand/model it is! Willing to pay up to $8 shipped.
I would also like a 60mm to 80mm fan adapter. Willing to pay up to $6 shipped.

I was pretty intrigued by the article [H] had up about ATI's new Havok physics processing system, but I found it funny that they were promoting a system running CrossFire X1900XT + an X1600 as a physics processor, meaning they were running 3 cards at once.
Are they sending this out to...
So, I have all this wonderful crap lying around, and I have no use for it. Maybe someone else does?
Everything is being shipped from Montreal. Prices are in US$! I haven't checked how much shipping for anything would cost yet (it's only a couple of bucks more for a Canada->US shipment than a...
I was wondering if the Gateway M305CRV supports Dothan processors (Pentium M 7xx).
It uses the 852GM chipset, and comes with a Pentium 4-M at 2.2GHz, which has a 400MHz FSB. Dothans come in 400MHz and 533MHz FSB.
My question: would this laptop support Dothans at 400 and/or 533FSB?
Just curious, what will everyone be going for? I'm personally heading towards an E6400.
Seeing as how the prices will be, going for anything above the 6400 causes a major jump in cost, and I don't feel like going that far. From what I can tell, anyways, the E6400 should be more than enough...

I just got an fx5900 (xt?) for a buddy of mine who plays CS:S, but I was looking to get it flashed to fx5950 Ultra. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a working link to the Gainward fx5950U BIOS.
Sitting here with a 128mb Gainward fx5900, going to install it on his computer some time during...
Well, when it came to power supplies in the past I've been... Stingy, to say the least. I've seen the light, so now I'm going to start prepping for another system. I won't be getting all the parts now, but since I could use a PSU anyways, I feel I should get at least that.
And note: I live in...

Newegg has the 1gb (2x512mb) for US$130. We'll say it costs twice as much (though normally it's...

SOCKET 939 MOTHERBOARD (MUST HAVE PCI-E x16)
I'm looking for a decent socket 939 motherboard with at least decent overclocking options (even if I have to use an unofficial BIOS) for an Opteron 146 or 148 (not sure which I'm going ot use yet). I'm particularily interested in...

Well, I haven't worried about my computers for a while. I'm not much of a gamer aside from a bit of Civ from time to time, but since seeing Alan Wake, Hellgate: London, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Operation: Flashpoint 2, Railroads!, Caesar IV, Tabula Rasa, Flight Simulator X, Vampyre Story...
