I don't know how many people are like me but I have my PC auto download the shows I watch to rewatch later so I don't have to leave them on my DVR. I use my PC to play them back.
This is no different than android phones, they already forbid porn in the play store. Nothing is stopping you from getting porn from other sources, just like on phones.
If it is like smartphones and tablets there will be an option to install apps from third parties. Otherwise people will just root it to install apps that do this. All this does is stop random people from doing it.
I just use my Yahoo mail for signing up for stuff so that's what gets all my spam. My Gmail gets my important stuff. My wife uses the new Yahoo mail and I dislike it very much.
I find it extremely hard to believe Megaupload was any significant source of movie piracy. I know a lot of piracy goes on with movies but very few people used Megaupload for it. Most movies are gotten via torrents and/or usenet.
I can't imagine it being a very big problem. On iOS you can't really get malware and on Android you have to turn on the ability to install apps outside the Play Store and install it.
I always thought WIndows 8 was going to be ridiculous but after giving it a try yesterday I actually kind of like it. I don't know how the old people getting a new PC with Windows 8 will fare but I found it to be pretty simple to figure out. I know a lot of people freak out about the start...
To take it one step further that's 13 as in 2013. They've been making the games since the original Madden followed by Madden 92. So Madden 13 is actually the 22nd game. If you are wondering why it's the 22nd and not 23rd that's because they didn't make a Madden 96.
Yeah this is ridiculous. It would be like someone using your phone to make an illegal drug deal and you getting into trouble for it because the phone is in your name.
It's definitely because of the mouse being a much moe accurate device for aiming. I think his score per minute is higher on console because BF3 rewards points a lot faster for capturing points and reviving people and such than just straight up killing people. On consoles accuracy is lower so...
Yeah seriously. I have a digicam I sometimes use for video and it's pretty easy to hold it steady. Mine doesn't even have image stabilization and it's fairly solid. It's like people don't even try to hold it still.
I agree, with camera phones everywhere someone could take a quick shot of your credit card in public easier than they could steal your info online. Guess that's why I usually cover my number when i can when i hold it, but then I see people just leave theirs out on the counter and I shake my...
To the people saying a hands free kit is a solution, it really isn't. The problem with a lot of people is they don't focus on driving while holding a conversation on the phone, not because they are holding a phone in their hand. I know I personally don't drive with 2 hands on the wheel at all...
Oh, and meant to say that they probably get paid a ton cause they always tout their 4.6 million users or whatever, even though they don't actually play, that just includes all the free accounts that are registered.
Agreed. If I could get a PS3 without bluray for $200 less I would get one. Well, maybe I wouldn't yet since there are still no games out that I want, though the HTPC capabilities would tempt me until there are some good games out for it.
Once the PS3 is down to the $400 range or lower then I will be interested. Too bad they shot themselves in the foot by killing off the 20GB model. They got rid of it because they weren't selling, but they were never in stock anywhere, only the 60GB models were, so no wonder they weren't selling.
Oh yeah, also wanted to mention that Japan has the 2nd largest gaming industry I believe, so that have a large impact on gaming in general. Sure it isn't the global picture, but it's a large part of it. Especially since the large number of Sony exclusive titles are usually made by Japanese devs...
What country is that? Super RICHLAND? Highly unlikely the PS3 is outselling the Wii anywhere. I see your point, but I doubt it varies a whole lot elsewhere.
Of course I still wouldn't watch it on prime time cause of the commercials. Maybe If I recorded it on my DVR. But seriously what is the problem with expletives anyway? I agree, just fucking words! It cracks me up how much violence can be shown, but words are somehow worse? FUCK!
It doesn't entirely defeat the purpose. A lot of people still either forget to do them, or are too lazy to do them. IMO the companies randomly pick rebates to not send out until you call or email them to check on it hoping you will forget. I had a $120 rebate like that. I checked online on the...
Yeah, the highest I can run the VGA adapter is 1280x788 because 1920x1080 won't work over VGA on my monitor for some reason, it tries to display it at 1280x1024. 1920x1200 works fine however.
Game quality matters for many games, but advertising and hype matter just as much. Look at Okami, excellent game across the board, but failed huge at retail. It didn't have enough hype or advertising, but you can talk about it in the same breath as most Zelda games.
When I was working at a Best Buy service center back in '03 they were still using NT4 on their computers. I bet a lot of businesses still use NT4 or 2000 still and haven't even switched to XP yet, let alone Vista. There is really no surprise here.
For a half decent one yes, but you can buy really cheap ones for like $10-15. As for a laptop that is anything more than a simple data organizer I'll believe it when I see it.
Yeah, but my overall point is the quality, not necessarily the price. A printer that cheap isn't going to give me great photo quality output, which is pretty much all I use inkjet for. Laser is really the way to go for regular printing, and generic toner is rarely a problem.
I've noticed the same. I'm not a printer tech, but I work for a major retailer and I'd also say 9 times out of 10 someone has a printhead issue it's due to 3rd party cartridges. All of the respectable magazines such as Consumer Reports and Popular Photography are always wary of most 3rd party...
Even at regular price they seem to be cheaper than other brands with the same specs. They also don't seem to bog down their systems with as much crappy software that you don't want.
