I had a similar problem with trying to Remote Desktop to my computer.
I fixed it by uninstalling the Network iControl and updating to Intel PROSet Version 17.0

For the client installation I've seen three ways to push out the client. The first and IMO the best is WSUS. The second is by a login script, but that sucks. The third is through a third party tool, http://fcscompete.codeplex.com/
WSUS works so damn well, why wouldn't you use it?
As for...
Another happy and satisfied Forefront user here. I deployed on one server, (VM) with 1 vCPU and 4GB's of RAM and a local SQL 2005 Standard installation. This setup should be good for up to 3k clients before I think about performance issues.
WSUS is on a seperate server. The client...
Try changing the print processor to Winprint: RAW
Printer Properties -> Advanced Tab -> Print Processor.
Check this article for the why.

It does put all the space under 1 drive letter. DO NOT DIRECTLY PLACE FILES USING WINDOWS EXPLORER! Always place files by accessing your WHS via a UNC path.
\\server\place files here.
WHS will put the files on the correct drive.
IIRC Postini was a little more expensive than Microsoft's solution. I think that is the case because Microsoft needs to prove that theirs works the same/better before they can charge the same.

or
Microsoft Hosted Filtering

Both are very highly rated. Postini has been doing this longer than MSFT.
I went to DeVry in Seattle and the hands on experience with, at the time, state of the art Cisco equipment was invaluable. From a technical perspective I thought it was worth it.

If you are running Vista Ultimate you can download their free program that allows you to use the .dream extension as your dreamscene.
You can find some paid and some user submitted dreams here: http://dream.wincustomize.com/ I think you are limited...
Do you really need the systray option? I run it without because it really isn't needed. But to install the systray, if I remember correctly, you can't have the nsclient service running when you run that command.
After playing around with the commands there might be a bug in the latest...
One thing you should know about the Everex model is that the built-in wireless card and the video card share the same IRQ. What this means is that if you try to game and use the wireless at the same time, your computer could potentially lock up. To stop your OS from locking, while you are using...
Control Panel -> Power Options. Click on "Change Plan Settings" Then click on "Change Advanced Power Settings"
It is under Power buttons and lid -> Start Menu Power Button.
Change to your desired effect.
If you are careful you probably don't need Anti-Virus software. I think of having no AV as not wearing my seatbelt. Sure I may be fine without it but what-if?
For the Experts-Exchange site, if you use Firefox you can scroll further down than you can with IE. The solution is at the bottom.
For the RDP it could be running on a nonstandard port. Have you run netstat -an to see what is listening? You could also check the registry...
Peachtree, even in compatibility mode, will be a bitch to run. Even the version that was "vista compatible" had to run with UAC turned off.
I would not recommend running Peachtree on Vista, unless you have a newer version of Peach.
I once worked on an HP laptop with a bad wireless card. It caused all sorts of services to stop after Windows was loaded. After I disabled the card Windows worked correctly.
Try disabling hardware and see if that fixes anything.
If Qwest provisions your stand alone DSL line, to the correct pair of wires that run to your house, then you will not have to do anything. You won't even need the DSL filters because you are not plugging anything else into the phone jacks.
Perhaps you could change the port the other computers use and then forward those ports?

Existing Router -> Switch -> WAN M0n0Wall -> LAN M0n0Wall -> Direct connection or Switch -> PC
I am assuming you have your existing router feeding DHCP requests. If so then you should be able to setup the m0n0 box to get an address and browse the Internet from the PC, on the LAN side of the...
I have a modded WRT54G router and whenever I would run BitTorrent on it the thing would crash. I replaced it with a Smoothwall box and it is rock solid.
On machines with 1GB of ram it will still sometimes use up to 500MB. It is completely normal. I would change the threshold of that alert to something much larger than its default, such as 1.5GB of memory.
To test the OS loading times you could get Windows to the point where you select a normal startup. Press F8 until it asks you if you would like to boot into safe mode or normal mode. Press enter on the normal mode at the same time you press start on your stopwatch.
Not that there is going to...
