I see DSE on mine, but it's not driving me crazy (it annoys me knowing it's there, and how expensive the monitor was). I feel like if I pay close enough attention to anything I'll find imperfections. I remember back in the day when I purchased my first large screen 1080P TV. Sharp Aquos... and...
Same, pretty disappointed that they say they will automatically cancel the order if it doesn't ship by sept 3rd. Meanwhile, they still are letting people place backorders...
I think this is pretty easy to prove:
Why buy the NEO over the 1st gen G9 which is over $1000 cheaper? For the HDR rating, and FALD.
So if they NEO didn't have those features chances are you wouldn't spend $1000+ more for the new model vs the 1st gen version. So if the features don't work...
I ordered one at launch through best buy. So no worries cancelling my preorder when I can just box it up and drop it off at a local best buy to return if need be. I was really looking forward to it after the initial "reviews", but if all these headaches exist at the time I get mine I'll likely...
It's still not a problem with the case; it's just an inherit issue with sandwich type cases in general. You could also say the same thing for most other SFF cases - tiny spaces, and lack of airflow. There's pros and cons to SFF; the biggest con being cooling restrictions. They aren't for everyone.
Not a fan of the front baffle for the front fans. I'd rather a proper grill that doesn't restrict fan airflow.
I was actually gonna build a system out of extruded beams w/ 2x 120 fans in the front because good air flow is important for SFF cases with high-end hardware.... then I just ordered a...
I fixed the link. Copy and pasted wrong one.
The part number that I googled after delivery was k4a8g085wb-bcpb, but I'd want to verify it. I can't take a picture of them now, as I just put everything together last night. But the next time I take it apart I'll take a pictures. That might be...
I just got these: https://enoch.systems/en/p/components/memory/m4ui-8gs1vc0k-c.html
Took a couple of weeks to get, but worth it.
Here they are with an Asrock Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac and Noctua NH-L12 (had to mod the cpu voltage regulator heatsink to fin the 120x25mm fan)...
Anyone know if the pump on the alphacool gpu coolers can drive a separate cpu block (not one with it's own pump)?
I'm wondering if this would work well in an ncase m1, and similar small sff cases.
I also started to re-play the Witcher 3 over the weekend, and also noticed the weird random flashes of light. you can see it often in the tavern of the beginning part of the story, where you follow the other guy to the town, and then the tavern. The spot were I saw it often was by the table that...
I had them in my cart today, but left them there. These blocks are becoming too expensive to replace every couple years. $200 w/ backplate, plus tax and shipping... I'll wait until I get my 2080 TI, to decide if it's keeper before deciding on aftermarket cooling.
That's how I feel about it too.
At least this generation they gave us TI's at launch, instead of releasing them after Titan cards, with close to Titan performance, for 1/2 the price.
I pre-ordered, and in the same mindset. If the #'s disappoint it will just get returned, and I'll go back to using my Titan X. If the card kicks ass, I'll just sell my Titan X for whatever.
I'll likely buy a card or 2, if pricing isn't crazy, and add onto my existing collection. If they prove to be game changers, I might systematically replace all current cards with new generation... but that won't happen right away, as the 1st cards to be released will likely be OEM reference...
It's probably not too late, just don't invest too much into inflated hardware prices. Start off small, learn, then expand (if that is what you want) after you know more what your doing. I started off with just my desktops titan x around November. Since then I have added 6 x 1070 TI's, 1x 1060...
If I was willing to spend $3k on a Titan V, I'd likely wait until they release the next version that doesn't isn't cut down, or the Ti series. I learned my lesson with Titan X pascal.
Do you ever get rejects with your 1070 when on equihash? For some reason I get like 10-12% rejects when on equihash with my 1070, but every other algorithm works fine so I disabled equihash on my 1070 system. My Titan X does fine on everything though.
I wouldn't doubt it if Intel employees visit the forums, and flagged the ebay listing. Another reason not to publicly post about listings you're bidding on.
Thanks for heads up!
I wasn't looking for one. But I have this exact one protecting my NAS and networking gear.... and figured my high end gaming PC should have some protection too :)
I had a similar looking chair years ago. Expect the fake leather to start cracking/peeling after a years of use. I've since bought a Herman Miller chair so I don't have to buy yearly cheap chairs anymore.
Anyone looking for the amerirack riser should probably act fast, as it appears there's another seller on amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B06Y5LBY8G/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&condition=all
You're forgetting the IHS on pretty much all CPUs, which will spread the heat to the outer heatpipes. I'm not sure the reason for the poor performance of the prototypes... but my modified Nexus Low does an awesome job of cooling, and I haven't even delidded it yet to change the TIM. I will say...
FYI C_Paynes board worked fine on my supermicro motherboard (both devices passed through in esxi).
But due to the lack of space in my case, there wasn't enough room for extender ribbon cables so I had to look for the ameri-rack splitter. I found some for sale here if anyone else is also looking...
I bought one of C_Payne's riser/splitters with the intent on using it with ESXi, passing through 2 HBA cards to 2 different VM's. I haven't gotten around to testing it yet, but will reply back when I do.
That seems normal for shipping this product to the US. They pretty much don't update it until they deliver it for whatever reason. USPS sucks for stuff coming outside the US.
I just ordered something for my car yesterday from Romania, and in less than a day it's already in the US via DHL.
On a Titan X, with reference cooler. There is 7mm from outside of case, to hitting the GPU's cooler. So 7mm - thickness of the side panel = 7mm - 1.5mm = 5.5mm of space between inside of panel to reference videocard cooler.
I doubt it will fit.
These are all the pictures I have for now. I'll try to take more if/when I delid my cpu. https://goo.gl/photos/RkQLiX9XxbLHA3NMA
Home Depot has very little selection for M3 bolts. You'll find them in the pull out drawers on the screw/bolt/nut isle. IMO, you're gonna want to use a backplate...
@ 4.4GHz on my 6700K, I'm hitting a max of 75C w/ prime95 setup as outline in the spreadsheet. But it's mostly around 70C. This is w/ a nexus low-7000 R2 cooler, and 120 x 120 x 20mm fan. I already have a rockit delid tool, so I just ordered some CLU. Hopefully my max drops to 60's or below...
I got some pretty good results with my nexus low, modified fan, and motherboard heatsinks. I put the data in the spreadsheet.

Edit: Not shown in the pictures... I used the backplate from my Noctua NH-C12P, with some longer M3 bolts from home depot. The...
