Hi end...
So the native resolution of your laptop is directly related to the ability to play games now?
What ever happened to the strength of the videocard being the only thing you had to worry about???!?!?
Oh, well...hmm....Tough choices.
How about a laptop that gets 5 hours surfing the net and typing AND can play games like HL2 and Quake4 while plugged in?
My averatec 3715 EH1 only gets about 1.5 hours on a fully charged battery with the screen dimmed and the cpu underclocked when not needed...
Would the Lenovo 3000 N-100 do the trick? I can get it with the 9-cell battery and the 128MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 with Turbo Cache.

Would that be enough to run HL2 and Quake4?
Yeah yeah, I figure I'll just keep my current bike and get a new laptop instead.
I'm looking for a nice 15 inch that can run at least 5 hours on the battery but can also handle moderate gaming (IE: NO INTEGRATED GPU).
Would anyone have any suggestions I can check into for a notebook that can...
I have the same wacky Belkin F5D7230-4 router with the single antenna.
Connection distance on this thing sucks man.
For your problem you will probably have to hit the reset button while powering it up.
Hard reset sounds like your solution.
:(
"Spy Boot" for the C-64.
(10 points if you know the unhacked version of the game)
For the Commodore 64 back in the early 80s.
My cousins had a C64 back in the day and I would go over to their house every saturday to hang out and play with them on the "commie-dore".
I quit that frickin game about 2 levels in.
Just too damn hard with the flipping off the walls and sh...stuff.
Then when I had to run from that damn black ghost thing and bounce off walls and stuff that was it. Rather than punch a hole in my wall I just uninstalled the piece of shi...game.
For the life of me I can't figure out how to turn the blue part of the background white.
Can anyone provide assistance or tell me how to do it?
Thank you,
Dm
Aw man!!! CRAP! I uninstalled the demo in preparation for the full game.
Damnit, now I've gotta go do the early levels all over again.
I'm so stupid....
I agree, I would check where the input from the power supply adapter connects to the laptop and make sure that all the wiring and stuff are intact Also check the board to make sure that none of the soldering came apart or detached.
Can a wireless-G adapter pick up Wireless-b signals?
I just got the 3715-EH1 version of this notebook ...

...and it comes with a wireless-g adapter. On the website it is listed as a "Wireless-G/B"
adapter, suggesting it picks up both...

The Averatec I just picked up for less than 700 is hella bright.
I dim it down though cause it strains my eyes with it so bright.

Hehe kewl. Yeah, You can't really do that much modding with laptops so I figured I'd get my symbol on my laptop as well.
I considered paint but thought that might be a really bad idea.
Kinda sorta, If you cut into the metal in small areas you can essentially come up with a round
hole in your case.

DITTO!!
Using the reinforced cutting disc and going about 1/2 an inch to an inch at a time will give you a nice rounded hole.
It will take longer than using a holesaw but you won't have to buy any extra equipment.
Sounds like download.com
Their download I had running last night did the same thing to me.
Fileplanet or fileshack or filefront have stable downloads.
High-speed too.
