yowen,
Thanks for your prompt response. So, if I want to run Netflix @ 4K do I have to go with a high end card then? or could I get away with something with a fan but cheaper? Which other video cards would you recommend me no more expensive than this Geforce 1030? Thanks!
Hi guys,
I want to get if it is possible a silence video car for a 43" 4K monitor, no gaming here, just reading and some photography stuff. I'm looking to get the ACER ET430K. Thanks.
I got you. Even at low volume levels both appear to require an expensive amp to sound good. I have to look somewhere else for portable. What it's out there for a good portable setup. What do you have? I love to walk a long the beach, parks, walking the dogs, etc. listening to a nice portable...
Thanks for the link. I just read it and really what these people are listening is more to the amplifier. Obviously the better the amp the better the sound regardless of headphone and the headphone will react to the load and quality of the amp. Just like with regular speakers. A headphone...
Yes, I do have the PA2V2 portable battery amp and the Fiio E12. Also I'm using the Auzentech Prelude Sound card, soon I'll get the Asus Xonar Essence STX.
PC sound card, Galaxy Note 3 & Turntable.
I'll be using them portable & desktop/Home 2 channel Stereo.
Mmmm, Good to know this...
This driver did not work, so I end up doing a complete restore from an Acronis image that I have done since January of this year and this solved the problem with the Line-in not working.
I must have installed or unistalled something that corrupted the driver.
I have been using this sound card to record LPs @ 96khz/24-Bit with Audacity and I have got very good recordings, but lately the Line-in is not working anymore.
It was working on my Nvidia Nforce chipset motherboard and then I tried it on my newer motherboard GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD3H, but it does...
I have had 3 Seagates bad on me. One 750GB and two 1TB. 1TB and one 750GB were still under warranty and were replaced. The other 1TB was out of warranty, I threw it away. All my great porno movies got trashed.:)
These External Seagate 4TB HDs behave very strange. I bought the model STBD4000400, it has the ST4000DM000 HD model in it.
I connected it to the USB3.0 port on my computer, formatted to make sure it did not have any encryption software.
I copied about 950GB of data to this 4TB HD, then I...
Also, of the 3 memories available (SLC, MLC & TLC), MLC is the more suitable for consumers on terms of reliability, performance and price. Sandisk uses MLC and Samsung uses TLC.
Check this out:
I have different SSD brands (Super Talent, Samsung and SandDisk) and all work about the same in real world. So far, I have not had any going bad. Perhaps I don't faaak with the machine too much.
I don't care about IOPs. I'm not gamer or run a server. I need to move 50GB to 75GB of video data. I need a drive that can do lots of writing, so sustain transfer is important for me.
Besides, the Samsung 840 EVO 120GB writes IOPs @ 35K vs. the SanDisk SDSSDX-120G-G25 that writes IOPs @ 83K...
Why reviewers say than the Samsung 840 is way better that the SanDisk extreme G25?
In paper the SanDisk looks better. I have two of the SDSSDX-120G-G25 and they are fast and very reliable.
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB: Read 540MB/s, write 410MB/s, IOPS Read 94K, Write 35K $100.00
SanDisk...
I'm getting a couple of Sandisk Extreme 120G G25 for my other desktops. I don't have a need to go for a bigger size since my booting partition does not exceed 30GB and 120GB is plenty of space to install a whole bunch of more apps.
Check out these combos on MC:

However you slice it, you can still get a really good setup for less than $2,500.00. I paid about $5,000 for a desktop Dell Pentium II 300Mhz and a few other components very long time ago. Ha ha ha
Oh, for real multi-tasking don't forget a couple of Dell UltraSharp U3011 30" Monitors! ha ha, ha
You can be converting a blu-ray movie to mp4, while watching a movie, browsing the net, chatting, playing a game, working with photoshop, converting Wav to MP3 files, etc.
I'm sorry, You asked for a processor for $200. That's why I suggested you the 3570K that goes for $189.00 which is around your $200 budget.
But then I see that you do video, that's why I suggested you the 4770K that is not in your budged range, but at the same time is not that much. Have...

You can have an array of 4x Dells U3011 to achieve 5,120 x 3,200 resolution (2,560 x 2) (1,600 x 2) for under $5,000.

Finally I got my Dell U3011 Ver A07 on Ebay for $1,125.00 + TAX, free Shipping, about $1,212.19 total bill.
I'm very happy with the monitor. Runs warm not hot, 0 dead pixels, 3 years warranty.
A friend of mine got one from Ebay brand new in the box for $940.00 a few weeks ago. That means this monitor has a whole sale price for like $500 or so. If it is manufactured in China it must costs just a few peanuts. Also last week I saw one used in Craiglist for $250.00. Did not say the model...
