If you're getting HTTP 500, I'd run through the steps from Method 2 of the MS KB article I posted. That's done the trick for me every time so far. Should only take a few minutes to get set up with little interuption.

Quickest way I've gotten around this is by running cmd as administrator, then mapping the "invalid" drive to *something* temporarily. I've only had any problems on Vista/7 redirecting any of the user folders to a mapped drive a few times, but mapping that drive as the local administrator...

Heh, my M6805's keyboard also just took a dump (some keys work, some don't) as well. Mine is definitely a hardware issue confirmed by booting to whatever live cd, and it works perfectly fine with a USB keyboard attached. Removing and cleaning the keyboard and individual keys didn't end up...

I've ran into something somewhat similar before, and it ended up being a problem with the video drivers on the host PC i think. Check the event logs on both client and server and see what exactly is flaking out.

So far so good with my X3 720BE on a Gigabyte GA-MA780XT-UD4P, BIOS version F4G. 4th core unlocked without any issue at stock voltage and is stable after an overnight prime95 test. Haven't tried any OC yet, will get around to that later on today hopefully.

I have noticed this as well..(8800GT video) I've been disabling Virtualization in BIOS and killing the services when I want to game. Early in maps for TF2/COD4 and the like, I get tons of chop with all the Hyper-V junk running. Smooth as can be with it all off.
