Off enterprise wide. I am told it is because our packaging people do not have the manpower to package for a UAC-enabled environment. Not sure what truth there is to that but we as the grunts make do.
I'd be curious to see this survey combined with one asking about Admin Rights in your...
Thank you for the suggestion! I did now know about that.
The only problem with our setup is that the two networks are on physically separate switches and would require different nics/network cables.
At least as far as I know, sadly my networking knowledge is not that great.
Any other...
The workstation is a shared machine in a meeting space. There are two groups of people that need to use it, and each one of them needs access to a separate network. It is due to get very light use - web browsing and powerpoints, so I was hoping to avoid having two light use machines in one...
Hello, I hope you all can help me with this odd situation that I'm stuck in.
I have a Win7x64 PC that needs access to 2 networks, but not at the same time. (there is a private VLAN that I don't want to give all users access). The user that needs to change the network configuration is in the...
testdisk and photorec
http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk
worked for me where others have failed. And it is free!
(photorec is not just for photos)
The ASUS DirectCU GTX660ti would be an excellent card for me - a video game enthusiast. The 2gb of ram along with an excellent DirectCU cooling system allow for an epic gaming experience, while not using as much power or generating as much heat as other cards. The VRM's and awesome overclocking...
i don't know if they are capable of this, but have you tried "testdisk" and "photorec"? I've recently had to go though and try to recover a completely fubared flash drive and they were the only things that seem to be worth anything.
Search for testdisk, which will give you both of the above...
I've nuked it twice - once running windows 7, and once running Ubuntu. Does the 80% WU's work for SMP only? (I'm sure I'm over 80% for all WU's) There may be 3 or 4 incomplete SMP WU's. Is that the problem?
2700K, 8gigs of ram. User name above is correct. Machine folds pretty much 24/7. Multiple clients only because I've nuked this machine a few times in trying to get it to behave. I've also ran a bit on linux but was unable to upload WU's... (2 WU's to be precise)
What did I do wrong? Folding 6.34 command line client on windows 7 64bit. Have folded more than 10 SMP WU's (I think, only know 8 wu's to be definitely not SMP). I've set the config to get big WU's, disable affinity lock and set "-smp" as a parameter. Also included my passkey. It says passkey...
Hello,
last time I overclocked seriously was back in socket 939 days on an opty 146. Things were much simpler back then.
I've got a 2700k sitting underneath a hyper 212+, all on an asus p8z68-v lx.
currently at 4.5 and ~1.26v, the voltage seems to ramp up considerably after that. I...
Hey,
so I have this 2700k along with a 8 gigs of ram here. I'm currently pushing it to see how quick it is. Wondering what would be the best way to fold on it? (linux on a vm? linux on a hard drive? windows?) I need windows on the machine, but I don't use it much during the week so ubuntu on...
As per topic. Cheap wins (50 and below). Chipset/Features not important as long as the board works. Needs to be able to accommodate a 2700k.
Thanks for looking!
I would be interested in OC'ing it some, but have really no need to at the moment.
So, no particular chipset in mind.
Eventually I'd like to pick up a nice full size board with all the bells and whistles, but budget-wise I'm far off from that. (the 2700 was cheap, in case you're wondering)...
