My 2 year oldish 500GB Crucial BX100 is dying/dead seizing up and causing i/o errors 50% of the time after booting up and logging in so I looked into the RMA process. Even at 95% SMART, it's hobbled.
Seems like no one is offering advance RMA (ie you give them your credit card and they send a...
Been a long-time user of this. Appreciate it.
However, with v2.0 if I hide some devices, it crashes and won't run again until I uninstall/delete it and don't hide the devices?
My P8H67-I Deluxe in a SG05 has lasted 2 years now--the longest I've stuck with a build. This is a record. To celebrate I'm going to replace the HD6850 with a GTX 660 (the Zotac one I picked up only has a PCB length of 7.35"!) and the 8GB of RAM to 16GB.
This one:
Thanks. I'd completely forgotten about that separate option. It was set to 20min by default.
I thought setting PC never to sleep along with monitor was enough.
Anyone know how to disable the sleep on these hard drives? Mine seems to go to sleep far too quickly. 7K3000 2TB SATA3 drive.
Other hard drives had a AAM tool but this one apparently doesn't.
While I understand the level of support is non-existent on Intel's "self-help" community forums differs compared to the well-meaning but pointless OCZ-official-tech-support forums, the level of polish in Intel's SSD Toolbox software compared to the rinky dinky amateur hour SSD flashing program...
Avoid like the plague.

Building my brand new Mini-ITX system (documented elsewhere on the SFF subforum here on [H] with an Asus P8H67-I Deluxe mobo, my OCZ Agility 3 SSD died after exactly 6...
i unplugged the 3000rpm scythe 80mm fan and put on top a 120mm scythe slipstream kaze-jyu ni fan for better sound characteristics.
i used one 'type b' 120mm scythe fan clip that seems to hold it in on 1 side and the otherside touches or nearly touches the video card pcb.

Finally, my build is done. I'll have to disassemble and redo it since the CPU heatsink may not have sat properly--running too hot (50-60C idle) so I just threw another Noctua 120mm fan in there sitting precariously on the heatsink without secured in any way.
OH JEEZ
I've come here to commiserate that threading the slim dvdburner's teeny tiny eyeglass-sized screws through the drive 'sled' with its holes that cause it to fall out and be lost is a harrowing exercise in steel nerves and eagle vision.
Sorry to necro an old thread but I found something that lets you fit both a 2.5" and a 3.5" in a 3.5" slot:

Hmm, nevermind might not work internally.
Thanks for the replies. I have a HD 5850 in there right now. I can't even remember if I have a bottom cage in since I haven't opened the side panel in a year.
I believe Velocity Micro has buckled under to Trademark Troll of "Edge Gaming" Tim Langdell's blackmail and licenses his scam-of-a-trademark on one particular line of gaming PCs.
On my new PC this last week, I returned my brand new X-Fi Forte 7.1 since it had no/poor shielding so it was snap-crackle-popping all the time. Went back to my PCI XtremeGamer and it's clear again.
I expect more out of a new $150 sound card I just bought. Had to Google search and line my bracket with scotch tape. WTF, Auzentech. Hmm, still there, but reduced, I need to tape it up better with black electrical tape.
